Nighty Nightmare

Jon Arbuckle thinks he has outsmarted his pesky cat, Garfield by buying a pizza for himself. As soon as Jon is about to eat it, Garfield pops out of the pizza box, finishing the remains of the pizza. Jon angrily accosts Garfield for eating too much, and warns him about nightmares from eating too much. Garfield shrugs it off as nothing, and heads to sleep like he usually does. Garfield ends up having a nightmare, and in the nightmare, he can't stop eating, and constantly wants food. Garfield ends up taking over the world, but it's an elaborate scheme to fatten up Garfield, so creatures from another planet can have him as a main course. This isn't one of my favorite episodes. It's a bit too silly for my liking, but it still manages to entertain quite heavily. Garfield himself even acknowledges how ludicrous the dream is, by making a joke. "I was afraid this nightmare might get silly" Garfield eats all kinds of food, even objects and parts of statues. I found it kind of unbelievable that they don't have enough food in the world to feed Garfield, but it was still amusing. I do tend to get nightmares if I eat a lot at night, so it did provide a good message it's just not one of my favorites, even though it's enjoyable. Just remember to give Garfield, MORE FOOD, MORE FOOD! The ending is classic. Even after a humongous nightmare, he still can't resist Lasagna

7.2/10

Ode to Odie

Garfield kicks Odie out of the house, so he can get some peace and quiet, and raps a story about Odie. Odie goes too far off the block, and gets his favorite bone stolen by a huge pit-bull. Odie gets pushed around easily by him. Karma works in Odie's favor, as the pit bull's companion's leave with Odie. I thought this was going to be highly annoying, and it was in a sense, but once it gets going, Garfield's rap becomes quite cute. The idea doesn't work fully, but Garfield is so charming, I couldn't help but get into it a little bit. Odie's fight is incredibly cute as well. Seeing him get all angry, and act fearless was a nice change of pace. The moral of the story here, is that if something is worth it to you, it's worth the fight in the long run, no matter how big the odds are. Not great, but entertaining, surprisingly

7/10

Final Thoughts: Not the best Garfield episodes, but you'll certainly be entertained, if nothing else.
