Shocking.

A known prostitute, Linda, visits the Station to report that she's been the victim of rape, she's net with a shocking reception.

Was this thirty years ago, or 130 years ago, it's a shocking episode, the first one that I've watched in some time, that had me with my jaw dropped.

Society had definitely changed over the lapsed time thank goodness, and rape handling has been in the news a lot, if the attitudes shown throughout this episode were true of society at the time, you can't help but wonder how bad things must have been.

I didn't enjoy the content or tone of this one, until the appearance of DCI Reid, who puts everyone else to shame.

I must credit the acting of Lesley Clare O'Neill, who really was terrific here.

Not one I'd want to watch again I don't think, 7/10.
