It's a great episode for David Ford (Sam Evans) who gets Willie to allow him to take Barnabas's painting home, something that Barnabas will not be too happy with. Maggie overhears her father's voice and escapes, turning up outside the cottage. The painting is very lifelike, eerily so, and Maggie, looking very ghostly as Sam sees her. So close but yet so far as they say. Lots of plot in a short period of time and also very eerie, and yet far too direct to correctly analyze in detail.

Warning: Spoilers
Episode 247 turns out to be unintentionally funny with all of the characters acting in amusing way. First off there's Willie and Barnabas, supposedly carrying out their master plan, but foolish enough to leave a door unlocked and thus allowing Maggie to escape. Then there's poor old Sam, painting away and spotting his kidnapped daughter parading outside his very window!
