Charlie Jade is one of those rare pieces of TV. It sets out at a pace all of its own and tells the story it wants to tell over many episodes. Nothing is easily resolved, and many of the characters are not what they seem. As a result it can sometimes be frustrating viewing but the end result is more than worth the wait.

The characters are wonderfully realised, with the exceptional O1 stealing the show every time he appears.

This show will undoubtedly have it's detractors and I can understand why, it took me about four episodes before I knew if I actually cared what happened to the characters, but once I got under the show's skin I was hooked, and I am sorry that they only made one season. It's a shame more productions don't have the courage to be as edgy as this one, TV would be a lot more interesting if they did.
