Anthropology 101 is a wonderful yet brilliantly simple piece of documentary making. To see one's history from an alien perspective is an eye opener - the documentary setup is extremely effective and can't fail to appeal to each and every one of us as human beings as it negotiates our past, present and 'future' in a fast paced whirl of images. There are world wide pictures and scenes we know and have become familiar with all our lives juxtaposed with intimate family portraits - appealing to our natural curiosity of our fellow man. I was also pleasantly struck by the wry and witty observational undertones which definitely hit the right spots. Very impressive and highly recommended.
