A woman is badly beaten, she's unable to offer much help, but vital DNA evidence is found, Beech and Croft investigate.
It's a solid episode, some really nice elements, including a slightly chauvinistic Don Beech, and an on form Suzi.
Hard to understand why Don was so opposed to the Forensics Officer, but it did add to the story, she was trying to do her job, and keep him in check also, the best scene coming where she does finally snap.
I liked the episode, it was very well written, imaginative, with some creative touches, including justifications for the evidence, plenty of nice touches throughout.
Best of all, an empowered Suzi, who has now become a favourite, the solo female in CID, is putting the guys in their place.
Very good, 8/10.
