I'm glade I saw it
gimoromania10 January 2014
I'm glad I saw "The Real Estate Pros" and I have to admit I enjoyed it. This TV series was recommended by a friend since I actually own a real estate portal in Romania: http://www.gimo.ro/ Ginger Alexander became one of my favorite woman on TV :) I've also seen Richard C. Davis in BigTime, a documentary filmed in 2010, Flip This House which was on TV between 2005-2006, or something like that. In this last mentioned TV series he played with Ginger as well. Back then I wasn't so surprised by their activity, but since The Real Estate Pros is related to my business activity, meaning real estate, you can imagine how much I enjoyed the episodes.

this is what we've been waiting for, for so long and trademark didn't disappoint us! no more watching reruns on A&E and getting disgusted with flip this house wanna bees! great show and story and good luck to josh and the reds!

you were right about Hollywood couldn't write a script as good as this show!!! it had sorts, history, family, and human interest, good over coming evil. it is hard to believe that the house was moved in just 6 days

what was the final selling price?

i cant wait for the real deal to become weekly!

Yes Yes Yes Yes

After months (has it been years???) of watching knock-offs my appetite is finally sated. It's like we've been forced to watch generic television and finally someone's carrying name brand entertainment!!! Great job, everybody. I agree with other viewers that I still want to know how much this property finally sells for. And maybe, as well, it would have been nice to take a slower tour through the finished product to really appreciate all of the hard work. I don't remember seeing the finished bathroom... I'll probably watch this episode a couple of more times this week before the next new one airs. PS Rather smarmy of A&E to buy commercial time early in the episode to try and sway viewers back to their station as THE REAL DEAL aired. Boo A&E.

The wait is over and now THEY ARE BACK!!!
randynjane-123 April 2007
Thanks Team Trademark for this great show. I know it will continue for a long, long time. Thanks for the knowledge that you bring and the entertainment is great. I waited a long time for this come back and I am glad the wait is over. If you have never seen this team before on that other show, then now is the time to watch. They are back and better than ever. This show isn't just about flipping houses, it is a day in the life of very successful people at work doing what they are skilled in and giving the average watcher some expertise in there various fields of real estate. How lucky can you be to be able to work under Richard Davis and gain the training in the great world of real estate and to have him as a mentor. I feel like this show gives viewers a chance to get a small amount of mentoring from Richard Davis in 1 hour or less. How great it would be to work at Team Trademark everyday and to learn from all who work there everyday (like Richard, Ginder, Dawn, Vance & the others). If I lived in Charleston, I would love to work there. In short, watch this show. It is so great, you will find yourself anxiously awaiting the next episode. Watch It!

Fan for life!
CindiWolf23 April 2007
I am extremely happy to see you all back on my TV!! After the "bait & switch" that A & E did behind our collective backs, it is fabulous to see "The Real Team" back and going' for it again. NO ONE has the combination of honesty, integrity, benevolence and charisma that this team has so, accept no substitutes! The only thing I could suggest to make this experience even better is for them to write a "how-to" guide, for those who have been inspired by Richard and his crack team of professionals.

I am looking forward to MANY seasons to come of "The Real Deal". Consider me...a fan for life! Thanks.

Love the new Show!! Better then ever
chriswlewis25 April 2007
I absolutely love The Real Deal, Richard and his team are so entertaining and informative to watch! Even better is the level of class and honor with which his company operates; it is truly refreshing to witness a business man with a heart of gold making a difference in the lives of so many people.

I do not think that A&E has figured out that viewers want to be inspired by ACTUAL PEOPLE with character like Richard Davis and not beat over the head with crude, heartless, greedy ACTORS like Armando and the rest of the pretenders.

Congrats TLC and Team Trademark. We look forward to many more years of faithfully watching The Real Deal.

Real Deal
czhva24 April 2007
I was so happy to See Richard and team trademark back. Because I love the business aspect of flipping houses for profit, and when team Trademark was absent for awhile I must admit I had watched the other show about flipping houses. I did also learn from the others, but they are not just in the same spirit. I love how Richard is not against other parties in the deal- he wants everyone to win. This doesn't seem to be true in competing shows, where they "grind" out every dollar they can from contractors and workers. I used to work at a bank, and the tellers could spot a counterfeits by the way they felt. This is because they were so used do dealing with real money. The same is true here, others seem like phonies after seeing the Real Deal! Welcome back!!

Loved the show EVEN BETTER than "Flip This House"!
jennifer-54223 April 2007
Oh my gosh! My husband and I really loved the show! What we loved about this show even more than your "Flip This House" show (and we really loved that show, too), was that you went into more detail about the process of the flip and it was more educational. "The Real Deal" also retained its "Trademark" entertainment value.

My husband commented that he felt it described some of how Richard got started with Trademark, which is good information for the viewer to have because a lot of viewers might have aspirations of going into that type of career field. All in all, we will be looking forward to watching your show every Saturday night on TLC.

Loved It
brandybug22 April 2007
I Loved it I have been waiting forever for it to come back on and I am so glad that it is on TLC. A & E really messed up when they tried to replace Trademark. I tuned in for the season premiere when it started and I had no idea that trademark wasn't doing it. Needless to say I was highly disappointed. Then to find out what happened and too find out that the show was coming to TLC was a blessing. This show is so much better then any other Flip House show The Real Deal packs more into an hour then any of those 30 min shows. I hope The Real Deal sticks around for a very long time!! What happened to Kevin though? He is the only thing I noticed that was missing. Brandy in TN

Its about time!
matt-242823 April 2007
It does seem likes it been years since we have gotten to see the gang at work! I liked the new show a lot and was glad to see Richard finally got to do it the way he wanted to. The show seemed like it was all Ginger and Richard. Wheres everyone else? I need to see Vance and some metal detectors!!! Anyways Glad to see the gang back on TV representing South Carolina and our beautiful Charleston. I agree with the previous posts that I would have liked to see more of a tour of the house and if it did sale. Although I know that is a lot to shove into one episode. Maybe they can do like a results show half way through the season and show us for how much and if the previous homes sold. Just a thought for consideration for Richard and Team Trademark. By the way I loved all the Youtube skits y'all did!

Back & Better Than Ever!!!!
vgautney124 April 2007
It is so wonderful to see the gang at Trademark back in action! I wouldn't have dreamed it possible that "Team Trademark" could be better than before, but this show is amazing. Right from the beginning the "Team" gave us everything we loved about "Flip" and then delivered much more. We love the new look of the show, and are so pleased that that heart of the show is still as powerful as ever! It' exciting to look forward to each new episode to see what the "Team" will take on next. We also enjoy seeing such a caring man like Richard helping his community and those in need! We look forward to "MANY" years of watching the gang pull off he impossible, (for everyone else that is!!) Go Team!!!!

Home again - Thanks TLC
greg-125124 April 2007
Wow! I'm so glad that TLC picked up Richard and Team Trademark! It's great to see the gang that helped start it for us. The only reason we kept watching the A&E program was a hope that a) it would get better and b) they would wise up and bring the original team back. Well neither has happened. We watch for tips on how to work with your team and your contractors and subs. We also enjoy the interaction you have with each other. It is a true "Learning Channel" experience.

The new name is an awesome dig on A&E and their futile attempt at duplicating the magic that is Team Trademark. :)

Thanks again and we will continue to support you guys any way we can in all your endeavors.

Glad The Team Is Back!!
tpatin-124 April 2007
I am thrilled to see Team Trademark back on television!! I was dedicated to the old show and when I realized that the Trademark crew was ousted I was devastated!!! The other A&E people were horrible and had no idea of what to do and how to deal with people. I just viewed the season premiere and the entire episode was excellent-within the time frame of the show, Richard and the team show the viewers how flips are done-and that they are NEVER a piece of cake!! I have already set my TiVo for the entire season as I am ready to see what Trademark will do next!! Although the show is new, it is like you guys never left-and that is an awesome thing. You have definitely created a new wave in reality television that is REAL-not fluffed up and fake. You guys have definitely encouraged me to tackle real estate development as a profession! BRAVO!!!!!

Love This Show
rovito424 April 2007
Richard & Ginger are excellent entertainment. Ginger is the bomb, and Richard is just so down to earth, you'd never know he was a rich guy. Glad to see that they are back on TV!!! Great to know that TLC is supporting them. I think Ginger's dog is the cutest. The other trademark team members are good as well. Its just I really enjoy it when Ginger walks around the job sight with her designer clothes and stiletto heals. I remember one episode where Richard forgot he had checks in his truck! Checks for Trademark! The house flipping days may be over for the amateurs but these people are the REAL DEAL. Kepp up the quality entertainment TEAM TRADEMARK. Maybe there's an Emmy in your future.

Great Debut! Go Hamilton!
fordo7524 April 2007
Warning: Spoilers
Richard: Great debut on Saturday night. You are a shrewd businessman, a driven individual but most of all a decent person. You display character and class on each episode and I have the utmost respect for you. There is nothing fraudulent about you and your sincerity and "Southern way" exhibits itself readily. You have established a loyal fan base up here in Boston as a result.

Great to see Hamilton lighting it up. ESPN has been giving him some good exposure and I wish him the best. He's lucky to have a man of your stature in his corner. I hope he's defeated his "demons." Love the show. Don't like Armando! He's a PUNK! Chris Forde

Welcome Back!
janc195524 April 2007
Loved it, Team Trademark! I especially like the "talking head" cut-ins with Richard and Ginger - your personalities and sincerity really shine through. (Great job on Ginger's hair & makeup in those shots, and it's nice to see Richard sans hat and shades!) Loved the maggot segment ... yuk! Also enjoyed seeing Richard and Manual (Labor) get acquainted! But seriously ... I like the fact that EVERYONE gets his or her hands dirty if necessary.

You guys have a good thing going here, for sure! Keep up the great work!

Looking forward to the next episode! :-)

The Real Deal is truly "the real deal"!!
sandra-33524 April 2007
I love it when people work hard to entertain and educate me!! And this show does both.

Team Trademark rates as #1 in my book for an excellent show and even more excellent people. I couldn't believe that they pulled off doing the necessary renovations to "The House that wouldn't Sell"!! Lots of drama, surprises, and some laughs. This makes for great TV.

I think Richard should aggravate Ginger more. He always gets a rise out of her resulting in that classic "look" she has when she's irritated. He knows just how to push her buttons.

I can't believe how the pool guys cleaned up that nasty pool. We've had one and it's a real challenge to keep the pH factor just right.

Richard is a tough business wheeler-dealer but the show does a good job of showing his human side.

I recommend it for everyone! Sandra from Tennessee

Terrific beginning for a Terrific Team

Do you want the dictionary definition of TEAMWORK??? Look in the dictionary & you'll fine Team Trademark's photos!!! Excellent show. Richard Davis is the ONLY Real Estate person to whom I have ever written a fan letter. A&E was really crummy inserting an advertisement for their TV show. Amazing how that team works, Ginger in her spiked heels, getting' down and dirty cleaning kitchen, windows, etc. Richard rolling up his sleeves to COMPLETELY mess up the pool. How human, how great. Love the people, love the show. Need to see more of the others as well. I think if more entrepreneurs watched the Davis Team at work, they would have greater success in whatever their field of business might be. Glad to see you all back. Can't wait for tonight's episode.

great team trademark
joann_shrader30 April 2007
Glad to see "TEAM TRADEMARK" back and doing the "Real Deal". I had just started watching the old show (Flip This House) and loved it until all this other started up and I really don't care for the others (no heart, or class).

We loved the new shows so far and enjoyed Richard getting his hands dirty, its not exactly something he does every week and trying to put all the chemicals into the pool.

My husband started laughing about the air-conditioner falling out of the window when he opened it, said it would be something he would do to. He was wondering about the rest of the crew also. I miss seeing Kevin and the stuff he gets into. GREAT JOB!!!!

Welcome Back Team Trademark
sah-1522 April 2007
It is so good to have Trademark & crew back. I had been watching "re-runs" & even tho, that was better than not seeing the Trademark Crew, I enjoyed the last 2 new shows. It has changed a little, the most noticeable to me was Ginger has seemed to move up the ladder. She shows she doesn't mind working hard & has earned it. I would like to know where is Kevin ??? I have missed the show with it's originality & "non-acting" aspect. I didn't see where many shows seem to be ready to air. I surely do hope TLC is planning on making this into a series that goes on & on. I am looking forward to all of the episodes to come. By what I have seen written, the all appear to be good.

The Real Deal

I love Team Trademark. Watching Richard Davis, makes me want to leave the construction company I work for and move South! I am glad you have your own spot. I was really upset when the Montelongos and Team Atlanta came through......I immediately emailed the office and let them know I missed you and hoped you would be coming back!!!!! I will follow you on any channel. I loved, What the Heck Write the Check, I love The Seafood Restaurant Show, I loved when John got a make over, I loved when the GC tried to pull a fast one just because he knew Richard would be making more money. I also loved the house with all the rats, I loved the "haunted house" I loved the College Apartments. Basically I love Team Trademark and I watch it all the time. HEY TLC order up some more episodes.

Great Trademark
heyjack-125 April 2007
Love the new show. Sure is a welcome addition to the entertainment schedule this season. More, more, more! I especially enjoy the interaction between the members of the team. Richard never seems to get overwhelmed in any situation. When there's a problem, and when isn't there one, there always seems to be a solution. And in life in general when does anyone ever have enough time? The cost is measured in time usually and seldom in terms of dollars on any project. That's original! In the end the team Trademark comes out on top and is justly rewarded with a sale. A profitable sale, unlike some unknown results on other "flip it" imitation shows. Refreshing, entertaining, enlightening and educational in a nutshell. Keep up the great work Trademark, Richard, Ginger and team!

entityfs22 April 2007
The Real Deal was well worth waiting for! I think it's great that Trademark shows that this "Flip" business is not all easy and cash, cash, cash to anyone who gets into it, and how complications can set in when least expected.

I think it would be great if Trademark came up with a project checklist book that people who are buying and / or renovating a home can use when doing renovation work. No one would have more experience in knowing what to look for, what to remember to do (well most of the time eh Richard) than this company. I hope some day Richard will write a book on how he got started and how he got to where he is. I think it would make interesting reading.

Keep going Richard - you have a fan in CANADA!

Friends reunited
mret-122 April 2007
Finally seeing new episodes with Richard, Ginger and the team at Trademark, is like friends getting together again! On Saturday night, my hometown is Charleston S.C. with "The Real Deal". You wouldn't think watching reconstruction of a house could be entertaining, but Richard Davis has a team of people with wonderful personalities who you would love to have as neighbors and friends. I'm looking forward each week to watching "The Real Deal" and Team Trademark on TLC taking a run-down property, and transforming it to a show-place. Being from Cincinnati and a Reds fan, I have to get Josh Hamilton's and Richard Davis' signature on the same baseball.

Trademark is the REAL DEAL
cwa924642 June 2007
Winner winner chicken dinner! Take that Ants & Elephants (A&E)...

'Flip This House' Star Accused of Faking Work on Popular Cable Television Show --- Friday , June 01, 2007 On an episode of A&E's popular reality series "Flip This House," Atlanta businessman Sam Leccima sits in front of a run-down house and calls buying and selling real estate his passion.

Now authorities and legal filings claim that Leccima's true passion was a series of scams that included faking the home renovations shown on the cable TV show and claiming to have sold houses he never owned.

"This is, indeed, a con artist," said Sonya McGee, an Atlanta pharmaceutical representative who says Leccima took $4,000 from her in an investment scheme.

McGee and others say Leccima's episodes of "Flip This House," A&E's most popular show, were elaborate hoaxes. His friends and family were presented as potential homebuyers and "sold" signs were slapped in front of unsold houses. They say the home repairs -- the lynchpin of the show -- were actually quick or temporary patch jobs designed to look good on camera.

Leccima says he never claimed to own the homes. While not acknowledging his televised renovations were staged, he didn't deny it and suggested that A&E and Departure Films, the production company that makes the show, knew exactly what he was doing.

"Ask anybody who works in television how a reality show is made and you'll find that ours was a very typical approach," Leccima said in a telephone interview.

When it recently learned of the claims against Leccima, the cable network pulled reruns of his episodes off the air and wiped his mentions from its Web site.

Leccima, 36, presented himself as a successful real estate investor during the 2006 season of the cable show, which depicted him buying, refurbishing and reselling Atlanta-area homes for profits of $77,000 and more. But Leccima doesn't have a real estate license -- it was revoked by the Georgia Real Estate Commission in 2005, with the panel ruling he "does not bear a good reputation for honesty, trustworthiness, integrity, and competence." Now he's under investigation by the Georgia Secretary of State's office for securities fraud.

Leccima said his lawyer advised him against talking about the investigation or the claims made by McGee and others. He did say that some of the criticism stems from his high profile.

"I'm a business person and I think I have as many people that like me as don't like me," he said. "Anyone who puts their face on national television should realize they've signed a Faustian deal of sorts." However, Atlanta-area real estate records show Leccima never owned several of the homes he's been shown fixing up on television.

WAGA-TV in Atlanta, which first aired the claims against Leccima, has shown footage from inside one of the homes, which had mismatched wooden floors and unpainted patched walls that were out of the view of TV cameras on "Flip This House." McGee said she attended what was billed as a wrap party at one home. But when the party was shown on "Flip This House," it was presented as an open house at which someone expresses interest in buying the property.

New York-based Departure Films did not return repeated telephone calls to its offices by The Associated Press. A&E spokesman Dan Silberman said the network has stopped working with Leccima, who doesn't appear in this season's episodes.

"We are dismayed to learn of these allegations," read a statement issued by the network. "A&E Television Networks is not a party to any of the transactions shown in Flip This House and has not received any formal complaints about the properties or sales." Silberman said the network -- a joint venture of Hearst Corp., Walt Disney Co. and General Electric Co.'s NBC Universal -- doesn't investigate claims made by people on the show, opting to take them at their word.

The Better Business Bureau gives Leccima's company, Leccima Capital Partners, LLP, an "unsatisfactory" rating, saying four complaints have been filed against it in three years.

One of the complaint was from McGee, who said she considered Leccima a friend -- even vacationing in Brazil with him and his wife. She said the Leccimas stopped returning her calls once she started asking for her money back.

Dan Ward, an Atlanta-area youth minister, said he told state investigators that Leccima took about $100,000 from him to invest in real estate, but, as far as he knows, Leccima never developed anything with it. He hasn't received his money back.

McGee said appearing on the TV show made it easier for Leccima to find such investors: "As soon as that first episode aired, he got phone calls from people saying, 'I love you. Where can I send you some money?"'
