The Dogon People
AaronCapenBanner27 September 2014
The primitive Dogon people of Africa have nonetheless managed to learn much about astronomy, a black hole, and other subjects that may be the result of aliens who had visited them ages ago, and became a vital part of the Dogon culture. What these aliens may or may not have wanted isn't it all clear, but there are distinct remnants left behind. Of course, some skeptics claim it's all a myth, and that the Dogon ancestors are responsible for it themselves. Not one of the more memorable episodes, as it treads familiar territory, but it is still entertaining, and may make for fascinating viewing for those interested in this tribe.

The Dark Star is mix of the Dogon's culture, ceremonies, expert interviews, scientific explanations, and Star Treck's Spock's great narration. I ask my self how is all this possible. In Search Of... "The Dark Star" (1979)

Did a tribe in Africa discover a star that was unseen by others for hundreds of years? The Dogon was a primitive tribe that managed to look at the skies and see things that have baffled historians and experts. If you're a fan of science or of the series then you should find some entertainment out of this episode. It's basically coming down to how these group of people were able to see a star that most people couldn't and didn't even find evidence of for hundreds of years. The interviews are quite fascinating and there's some nice information on how some believe the Dogon was able to get the information including aliens.
