Looking For Water
AaronCapenBanner25 September 2014
Scientific speculation that looks at the phenomena of water dowsing, where a diving rod(often a stick) is used to locate water for wells, whether it be on public or private property, and how exactly such a process could work, or if it is all something of an illusionary power. There are still people who make a successful living at it, including one man whose personal guarantee of results has left him with no remaining competitors! It may sound odd, but if it does indeed produce the desired results(water) then how can one argue? Reasonably entertaining episode with several interesting interviews to keep viewer involved.

Is the worst episode of the IN Search of series.

Warning: Spoilers
A Scientific investigation of Water Seekers and or water dowsing is the method of using a diving rod. There is a water dowsing professional which demonstrates the process. I found watching this man walking around with a stick silly. The experts for and against gives explanations of the phenomenon, which makes for a dry episode. The interesting aspects of Water Seekers is the Water Seeker somehow gets results! That part of the episode is why is the interesting! Is there some ancient secret from years of trial and error that In Search can not figure out? Water Seekers is like watching reality show's like survivor. Either you will like Water Seekers and or may or not. 3 stars. Miss this one.

In Search Of... "Water Seekers" (1978)

Are you a water dowser? If not, these are basically people who can use an object (usually a stick) and point it to the ground where they will eventually find water buried. We get to hear from scientists as well as a couple people who have the ability to locate water underground. I must admit that the first few episodes from this series were changing the series a bit. I was somewhat scratching my head on this one as well because it just didn't seem to fit but as it went along it becomes a little more clear why the series would cover it. With that said, it still wasn't the greatest of episodes. The interviews are slightly entertaining but there's just nothing here that kept me overly entertained.

Episode: B-
