Joy delivers classic hedonism
lor_13 February 2018
The '60s provided us with hedonism, a topic which has animated quality porn ever since. This vintage, and forgotten Marc Dorcel production is escapism staged on exotic locations that provides a sort of carefree eroticism now absent from the hard-edged (and gonzo) modern porn landscape.

Joy Karin's is given a tremendous showcase, featured in many sex scenes, as the busty wife of Christophe Clark, latter confined to a wheel chair (but as we will learn, faking it). His nurse Josette is his secret girl friend, and they're plotting to get evidence that Joy is cheating so that Clark can divorce her without splitting his fortune.

Feature, retitled "Pleasure Cruise" in English, takes place on a huge, beautiful lot, with much of the sex staged against a lovely ocean backdrop. The resulting production values are typical of Dorcel, and a splendid contrast against Chatsworth porn's lack of visual inspiration.

There's not much story, merely Joy changing captains (she gets to hump both), indulging in lesbian sex as well as taking on almost every man in sight, culminating in Clark revealing his ruse as fake invalid and showing a videotape he's made of wife Joy's sexual shenanigans, including many impossible camera angles (artistic license). This results not in a dramatic confronation but rather an orgy, as Joy wants one last gasp of hedonistic release before divorce will end her lavish ways.

Joy is a joy to behold with her immense natural breasts, one of the sexier femmes in Dorcel's stable, and the entire picture is fun to watch. One soundtrack innovation works extremely well - the post-synced French dialog is retained for the English version but with a helpful femme voice-over narration added explaining the gist of each scene before the sex takes over.
