Ted is ecstatic about his team winning at the pub quiz. The next team they face have been unbeaten for several years and Ted bets £500 that his team will win.
Unfortunately the other team led by Karen are very good. Ted has a weak spot, he knows nothing about pop music.
Shelley is put out that a DHSS investigator is using Ted's house to spy on the building site workers, to see if any of them are claiming social security. He has a lot of hi tech equipment.
When Ted starts to do wonderfully well at the pub quiz including knowing a pop music question. Shelley realises that the hi tech equipment including a computer is being used to feed Ted the answers.
I am not sure if in 1992, computer software was so advanced to be able to pass for Wikipedia.
