The main character is a painter called Moncef Kahloucha who developed a passion for filmmaking. Through his story we discover many aspects of the Tunisian society lower class: poverty, illegal immigration, violence, family, friendship... in a very funny way...

Great fan of 70's genre movies, Moncef Kahloucha, a house painter, shoots hilarious feature films in VHS

This great documentary has been screened at the last Cannes Film Festival. It has been just selected at the Sundance Film Festival. It's a wonderful portrait of a very passionate Tunisian, an house painter who succeed in making movies by his own. It's very funny, very moving and it shows a very different image of Tunisia. It's shows that if you really want to live your passion it's possible even if you don't have much money. The most important is your faith. I haven't seen such a great film for such a long time, I wish I could be a distributor in order to distribute it in France. After seeing VHS Kahloucha you feel good and happy... Everything seems possible !

Why VHS? Because it's talking about a man who's filming on VHS
Why Kahloucha? This man is called Moncef a.k.a "Moncef Kahloucha"
Thanks to Nejib Belkadhi and Imed Marzouk for this marvelous job done in 3 years of hard work. Thanks to Moncef because of his lovely behavior and his modesty.
By the way, I hope that all of them will be awarded.
