Finally a Christmas special, the series must have been fairly popular to warrant a special.

Flora is practicing singing for the choir, and demanding additions to the Christmas shopping list. Cissie has been repairing her nativity animals, Flora had prepared a paste, but Miss Milton has given her super glue, naturally Cissie has glued a lamb to her finger. It's Christmas Eve and an excited Cissie moans that she never gets the present she wants, on her Christmas list this year are a camping stove and an action man. Mrs Love has decorated the sideboard and made it look like a pub. Disaster strikes when Cissie lights the tree and blows the electricity and then realises she's given the same wish list to everyone. The oven's fused so Flora has to improvise.

A lovely seasonal special with all that's expected, carol singing, decoration. A really sweet scene when Cissie talks to Flora on Christmas Eve.

So funny when Cissie bursts into away in a manger after singing Gloria in excelsis, she is truly funny. I love the fact she's naming her action man 'Beryl' it's so random. The draft excluder scene rounds it off nicely. 7/10

I always seem to recall that any sitcom seasonal special back when I was a kid would feature an incident where the turkey would never cook because someone forgot to turn the oven on or such thing.

This Christmas Special is not much different, no spare fuse wire when the Christmas lights blow the electricity, but then builds upon it with Cissie's presents which was nicely done.

Until then Cissie shows that she should not be anywhere around superglue as she tries to fix the nativity animals and becomes stuck. Also practicing Christmas Carols for the church proves a note too far for Cissie.

This is a well structured festive episode but I found it only mildly amusing but great interplay between the characters.
