Flora causes a scene at breakfast, as the ladies cereal bowls are mixed up, Dolly romanticises about her past career, and hopes for future work, but a spiteful Flora tells her she's past it. Flora takes a telegram to Dolly, in gleeful hope that it's bad news, but... it's good news, Dolly has a part, in a commercial. All the ladies wish to be discovered by Dolly's director, so pull out all the stops to look glam, except for Flora. The commercial is for bread, but Dolly is too glamorous, so a replacement must be found.
The rehearsal scenes with Flora and Cissie are hilarious, Flora's frustrations are worse then normal, Cissie drives her mad. As always Cissie has the last laugh, its the usual formula for the show, it worked, and they certainly stuck to it.
