This episode has a very different feel to those that have gone before it.
Mildred's purple phase is now over, and everything has been green dipped, much to Miss Milton's annoyance. Cissie returns drunk in a taxi, after having been to her Uncle's funeral. Driven back by Himey, Cissie has treated him to Steak and chips and given him a big tip, Flora is suspicious as Cissie left in the morning with a Sardine sandwich and 2p. A drunken Cissie informs everyone that she is an heiress, and been left £10,000. A manipulative and particularly nasty Flora gains control over Cissie's money, and even tricks Cissie at a Solicitor's Office to sign over control of the money. Flora has been busy shopping, and bought herself a fur coat and hat, pencils for the ladies, personalised, and Cissie...a second's cardie. With the available funds Flora sets up Petty Enterprises, in the shed. A small loans company and leaves Cissie to man in, but all goes wrong when a soaked Flora returns to the Shed and all manor of disasters strike. Flora is incapacitated, but horrified when an angry Himey returns with the £10 note, which is signed 'Albert Wiggins,' Flora's in trouble.
A really funny episode, Pat Coombs plays a drunken Cissie very well, it's the sheer nastiness of Flora here that makes it so funny, very differently written, I think this was as nasty as she got, but she got her just rewards.
Really easy viewing, nice and light, what I'd class as Sunday teatime sitcom. 8/10
