Loved this game in 1994!!

Wrath of the Gods is a 1994 adventure-style computer game. It makes use of digitized backgrounds and sprites. The story is based on concepts and characters from Greek mythology. Wrath of the Gods has load of puzzles, and the acting is good throughout. Animation is sometimes pretty smooth; moving between locales can take a while, but the story is interesting enough for you keep playing.

"Wrath of the Gods" has photo-realistic graphics with digitized characters that are animated and speak to you. You will meet mythological creatures like Cyclops, Hercules, Atlas the Titan, the famous Hydra, Medusa and many others in dozens of locations that depict ancient Greece. Your character will have to solve many enigmas on your quest to reclaim your kingdom, and the game will provide you with hours of amusement and information.

Loved this game in 1994!! Played it several times, the game is not too difficult, and it's quite entertaining. Also a good game that will teach the kids a lot about Greek mythology, when playing the game.

Conclusion - If you're a fan of Greek mythology and you like adventure-style games, then you will probably be interested in this game, i know i was....

Greek mythology with a heaping side of cheese.

Warning: Spoilers
This has easily remained my favorite game since it was released in 1994. The creators use backdrops of actual modern (as of the early 1990s) Greek landscape, capturing such mythological locations as Mt. Olympus and the Cretan palace of Knossos. There are several famous cameos from Greek mythology, including Hercules, Perseus, Theseus, and Jason.

***POTENTIAL SPOILERS BEGIN HERE***

The story revolves around the fact that you are a young hero, trying to find your true parentage and prove yourself worthy. On your journey, you come across several enemies from actual Greek mythology (the Hydra, Medusa, the Chimera, etc.), all of which you defeat using the strategies from their corresponding myth. If you get stuck, there is an oracle available to help you - though she'll take 5 points per hint off your final score after the first hint she gives - as well as an information tab with the necessary myth attached (it also shows interesting facts about ancient Greek culture in areas that don't contain anything mythological).

Several adventures later, you defeat your final enemy, rescue your mother, and discover the true identity of your father. Fireworks go off, and a voice asks "Wanna go again?" I can never resist going in for a second round of this game.
