Cinderella must get home from the ball by midnight lest her gown, shoes and coach disappear. Fortunately, her coach is a Chevrolet in this follow-up to the previous year's A COACH FOR Cinderella.

While the Ford Motor Company had its own industrial film unit, General Motors, particularly its Chevrolet division had a long-term relationship with the Jam Handy organization. This cartoon version of Cinderella was farmed out to the Fleischer brothers and its is clearly their work in terms of music, jokes and backgrounding, although the figures and movement are simpler than their usual work in this period.

This was the year that SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS was released and there are clear glosses on the Disney feature. The wicked witch here looks like the stepmother when she gives the poisoned apple to Snow White, and the little men here (called "gnomes") look like Disney's dwarfs. The result is a simple retelling, with a telling concentration on how reliable Cinderella's coach is.
