Bad Theology

I'd normally let this slide, but the scene in the church service in which the preacher interprets the passage from Romans 7 is the dead opposite of the meaning of the verse and the larger context of the passage. If the writers wanted to chose a Biblical passage to support the plot point they were putting forward, I would have advised a different one. SInce the overall theme of the series is an exploration into human nature and the evil we do, then this particular scene undermines the entire point. Try 1 John 3:6 instead.

BIG PLOT HOLE
klowen-3431622 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Ok so back in the episode when Boomer was supposedly dead and being thrown away, they hear his phone ring inside the bag of body parts. They state something to the effect of "you didn't check his pockets?!" Now in this episode the body bag all of a sudden belongs to the husband and Boomer is alive. How would Boomer's phone with voice messages from his grandmother be in the bag containing the husband that was killed years/months prior if he wasn't even dead?? Just doesn't make any sense and shows that the writers don't even know where they are going with the show. Once they think of something new they just switch the story for wow-factor without thinking about what they have already written into the show.

Writing is weak.

Warning: Spoilers
If they hid the wrong body, how did they find boomers cel phone on it? I really liked the twist, but How did a jerk like boomer manage to stay off the grid for so long? I would see him coming back and trying to leverage the accident. And how do you sell a car above list price? Was the. Customer blind or just plain stupid? Or do the writers just assume the audience is made up of nitwits?

I'm enjoying the season but there is a huge goof they don't explain

Warning: Spoilers
When the ladies dump the body earlier in the season they find Boomer's phone. If that isn't Boomer then how did it get there?? I guess he planted it on Jeff's body but that would assume he knew 1) they would eventually come to Mary looking for him, 2) that she'd lie and give them Jeff's body, & 3) that they would dispose of it without opening the bag and seeing it wasn't him. It's a pretty big snag in an otherwise great season.

FIRE the WRITING STAFF!!!
The_Boxing_Cat18 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Boomer's cell phone was in his pocket when they dumped his body and his Nana left a bunch of voicemails, and now they decide to resurrect him....the entire Boomer story line is so contrived it's ridiculous.

The writing staff needs to be fired. This series has burned out and they have no direction whatsoever. Pathetic really.

The Annie character is over the top- Mae Whitman cannot do comedy AND somebody please tell her to GET RID OF HER UNI-BROW. No WAy would Noah fall for Annie, she's shallow, dumb as a box of rocks, morally corrupt and has zero Sex appeal.

Finally, I don't yet have a law degree and could easily clear all these jackasses.
