A second world, and the connection of the two worlds to everything is connected, shows us that everything is really connected.
The unknown person who first appeared had a strong start. It became clear to us that the basis of all this is the meaning of the basis of the cycle. Initially, Martha when she traveled with Jonas to the other world was strange when she left him and went to younger jonas in 1888 it was strange because it was darker, how did she know him? (Meaning it is not her world) And how did she know his time? . The series started with a dark idea as usual but the beginning of the third season and the first episode in the second world was a strong start as we knew some about the second world and about the world of Martha and a world without Jonas .
In my personal opinion, it is a very strong start.

Another dark world

The promise of the previous season finale was manifested in a new dark world.
As real and dark as the first. It immerses us in a new season that promises to take our breath away. With Deajav-vu we already saw everything. It opens the door to a final season that promises to impact us.
Such a great start

Great way to start the third and last season. This episode poses several questions that make you want to watch the next episodes. Visually this first episode looks even better than the second season, the photography has improved even more.
Captivating as usual

Great start of the new season. It's awesome to see a parallel timeline of the events and characters we already know but with some twists. Looking forward to see what's coming and really hoping that they can give us a good closure for this astonishing show!
What we know is a drop(S1&S2), What we don't know is ocean(S3).

What we know is a drop(S1&S2), What we don't know is ocean(S3).Perfect ending and one will never ever imagine that how good and depth this series is.No words will describe it.I am so lucky that I watch this show and follow the series year by year.To understand it and keep up with it you have to remember all the things of previous seasons.I myself watch it 7 or more times both previous seasons.Even after this there come a point when your mind blow away by the complexity and creativity of it.At last you will find all of your answers.Ending will be one where you find peace and also truly understand the title "Dark".
"Everything is connected".
" End is the beginning and the beginning is the end".
Great beginning

Haters expect to jump straight into action without any buildup
khanosama-9536027 June 2020
Few negative reviews emerge here. People complaining that same characters doing same things that we have seen in the past. But in reality writers have to build the alternate world in order to make us understand the action part coming in later episodes. Take your time watch first 2 3 episodes patiently because they are build up to something that will blow your mind in later episodes 🖤
Beyond Briliant! Can't believe some the early reviewers

This is cerebral storytelling at its finest. The nuances between the two worlds, the similarities, the symbolism, it's beyond brilliance. Those complaining that this episode "doesn't add anything new" or doesn't move the story forward, aren't simply watching closely, maybe they're the ones who just caught the Dark wave without knowing about the break.
From someone who is not biased

This START was so much better than season 1's or 2's !! I literally wanted to keep watching without a single break but I just had to come here and write this.
This is how it should be done!! Fantastic acting amazing cinematography and editing! Great production design all with incredible writing!
What could go wrong?
This episode is one my favorite dark episodes and I honestly have a feeling that after watching each and every episode of this season I'm gonna say the same but well ...
THIS IS DARK WE ARE TALKING ABOUT!
this is sci fi at its best and SEASON 3 OF DARK is gonna be one of the best TV seasons of all time if not the best!
Superb!

The thing i like about dark is that they never waste time in poor dialogues or in some useless scenes, every scene is important and giving us clues to what's happening, they are not wasting time , the end of the episode i was amazed how every dialogue that we didn't understand in previous seasons have an answer later on !! Cloudia told jonas that she saw the world without him and it's not as he thinks and now this episode we get to see that with our own eyes !! World without him but still the world is not healed ! Perfection
MIND BLOWN!!!!!

Just had re-watched season 1 and 2 and thought I needed that refresher to align my mind, but now it is completely blown.... BIG TIME!!! When you think you know the characters and relationships the writers mix it all up again and amaze you in a completely new way. Without giving too much away the parallel world actually and literally mirrors so many things (e.g. Jonas' home, the layout of the bunker, etc.) but keeps other details the same. Stunning storytelling and ingenious variations on a time-travel story that is unrivalled in it's complexity and brilliance. A TV show that would do Christopher Nolan proud!
Great start for the last season

Anyone else upset that Dark can't go on forever?
JimmyTreeX28 June 2020
Only watching the first two episodes of season 3 so far and all I can think of is how it ends after only six more episodes for me.... Amazing show! One of the best in my life. Without going into ANY detail about the episode or show, I still think it's pretty obvious what I think of it. Just take it as a hint if you're trying to figure out if you're going to watch the series or not....
dissapointing
engrfarhadmba27 June 2020
Yes as a consistent fan of this series i was dissapointed with the 1st episode
they r just using the same plot again and again nd not giving any depth to the series
ofcourse great direction but i feel now the writers are messing it up too much
First season was great and second was pretty good but the third season is pretentious and will be its last

Warning: Spoilers
The first two seasons were really good and I enjoy them but the first was certainly far better because it was original. The third has been so horrible and pretentious I became very motivated to leave this review. They try SO HARD in this third season to make it special and seem super intelligent and deep but it really comes across as pretentious and overly complicated to make it appear intelligent when in fact its just a poorly put together third season that is trying really hard to be fresh and cool but fails horribly! I am not sure why people like this third season so much as it literally makes no sense and there are all these worlds and people coming from them its all overly complicated. With these peoples logic there are infinitely amount of the same people so there should be infinite amounts of Jonas so when he gets killed it doesn't; matter just like the other times. Its really quite idiotic. Then they ask all these existential questions that are just pretentious and I am so done with this show! Personally, I think the people are so fond of their new found fame that they have become arrogant and disconnected from their audience and are trying way to hard to get the same reviews they got the first two seasons. I am on the 5th episode of this third season and I keep getting more angry at how utterly idiotic and asinine the show has become! Seriously, this show is made by a decently intelligent person(s) who wants REALLY badly to be a genius, but he/she/they are not, and this season really demonstrates it! Again, I am fuming with this intellectual wannabe drivel that has ruined this show! And each freaking year its the same thing about an apocalypse that never comes! Its like ground hog day where the same thing repeats and they just change the scenrio a little bit but it fails and its failing and I think people are seeing what I am seeing about this show making absolutely no sense this year and only the intelligent people will realize this because they are intelligent enough to dissect the plot and find that all this intellectual psycho drivel is noting more than steamy pile of dung!
Wow

Mindblowing.

Best season opener of Dark to date. Thought the second season's opener wouldn't be surpassed, but it happened. The twists are all great as a Dark fan, and I'm loving the new cuts that look distorted appropriate to the show. The title of the episode is appropriate, because I honestly had like 3 deja vu's. I'm sure bigger fans will find more. I give this epispde a 9.2/10 for still being entertaining and hooking you for the rest of the season.
