A great insight into the world of cellphones
planktonrules16 February 2009
This short film was very timely for me. Today I went to a book store and felt very irritated. When I'd sat down to thumb through a magazine, an idiot was sitting nearby just yakking away on her cellphone--oblivious and uncaring about the others around her. I soon got up and moved to another part of the store, as I could barely hear myself think. After all, when you go to a book store, you usually DON'T expect all that noise.

Well, believe it or not, this has something to do with the short film THE CONVERSATION. Like I noticed today, the usual etiquette and social graces we all used to think existed but which have been replaced by cellphone rudeness is very well illustrated here. Two people talk and talk over lunch and none of it makes any sense at all--thanks to our friend the cellphone. See this short film for yourself and see what I mean.

Overall, a funny and insightful film about some idiots who seemingly live their lives on the phone. How I managed to live most of my life WITHOUT a cellphone is beyond me.
