I was very eager when this came up and had certain expectations due to his past performances. But this special is just forced jokes shoved down the throat without being funny itself. Just by giggling after each joke doesn't elevate an ordinary material. Quite average performance. Disappointed.
Stoned comedian with bad jokes

I liked some of the standup material that Karunesh had built over a period of time. However, this special is anything but special. It's such a waste of an opportunity. And no one but Karunesh is to be blamed. He just chose to show up absolutely stoned for the show. I mean absolutely pupils dilated stoned. He forgets lines, he just stares, he slurs, he stammers, he does all sorts of crap except totally lose it. The jokes fall flat. There's no sense of timing. There's no thinking on your feet improvisation. There's nothing that a decent comedy should have.
Absolute waste of opportunity. Absolutely sub par - unprofessional.
I want my time back!

Que: How long are you willing to extend your feminism towards the citizen?
Karunesh: Hold my beer.
But.... You're no longer funny, just a fatass who couldn't get some so he stands by women to berate men, and says the same fucking lines over and over.
Karunesh: So?
Seriously, you're better off watching porn in No But November. That'd be less hurtful.

Looking at his YouTube videos and watching him live opening for Sorabh Pant, I had a certain expectation from his special.
One of the basics of comedy is that you create a premise and then say something unexpected which creates hilarity just thinking about the visual. Karunesh took this principle and spoiled it by setting up the premise and then making the punchlines so outlandish and over the top that it became try-hard.
Another thing I like about Karunesh is his delivery of jokes, it's quite unique. But again he turned it up to 11 and kept on delivering every joke the same way that even that novelty got lost soon.
The first time he joked about messing up the punchline and reshooting it, it was amusing, but then he started repeating that trope. By the end I was pretty sure the audience was just laughing because they had to justify paying for the show.
