Barbara Eden's final appearance as Jeannie's mother

"Is There a Doctor in the House?" was Barbara Eden's second and final appearance as Jeannie's mother (actually the character's fifth overall), following on from "Jeannie and the Wild Pipchicks." Major Nelson comes down with bouts of uncontrollable narcolepsy whenever someone whistles, dropping off right in front of a stunned General Peterson. Jeannie visits her mother to report the symptoms, a sleeping sickness of which she alone is responsible, still hoping to get her daughter a nice sultan for a new master. One misplaced blink from 'Mama' and Dr. Bellows too falls victim to sleeping sickness. She instantly falls for the princely doctor, despite his already being married, now sleepwalking in a sultan's outfit. Major Nelson plants the idea that no genie can kidnap a master against his will, so she frees Dr. Bellows to return to NASA, where he and General Peterson argue over which of them is truly cracking up. The late Barton MacLane makes the second of three posthumous appearances.
