Illuminating a cultural time that not many college courses cover well enough.

At a crossroads between east and west and three major religions, the cultural mix of what is today southern Spain is examined in detail along with its architecture, music, and literature. Very well done and fascinating.

medieval Spain history

It's a PBS program, a 2 hour documentary detailing the history of medieval Spain. It starts as a time of Muslim conquest and rule co-existing with the other two main religions. It follows the conflicts and eventual conquest by the Christians. It's almost 800 years of history. It uses animation and expert talking heads to provide color to the narrative. It concentrates more on the artistic side while giving an over-view of the military. As a generalize history lesson, it is informative for someone like me who has limited knowledge of this part of world.

Rewriting the history to whitewash the muslims. Not recommendable.
