Acceptance. You are born human, not perfect. Or maybe we are. We just go with the world's definition of perfect.
Accept others. Accept yourself too. What a beautiful movie.
Sunny singh you were amazing as Chaman👍🤘

Really good movie that went unnoticed

I watched this movie with my family and it was so hilarious. The ending was as required. It had right elements of seriousness and comedy. I didn't quite like the songs but other things were really fun to watch. Total entertainment with an important message. I wish to congratulate the actors in this film for their performances. May more such movies come and the audience loves them.
Just for laughs kind of film

A Good Remake But Still Bollywoodish

A comparison to the original Kannada film 'Ondu Motteya Kathe'& thus a review of 'Ujda Chaman'.
This film has scenes exactly the same as in the original but then again, it has it's own original scenes, some of which are actually better and makes more sense, though cliche, than in the original. But then again some scenes are horrible like the eating scene outside the hospital. Who in their right minds would do that?
The subtleties in acting, moments and songs were better in the original. The original was much simpler and had a much lower budget and that could be seen in the visuals. On the other hand the climax of this film was way better than that of the original. I would repeat once again that the original had better music.
If you liked this film or not, do watch the Kannada film, "Ondu Motteya Kathe" (meaning - 'Story of An Egg')

A fun Bollywood comedy that also carries substance

You're guaranteed to sympathise with Sunny Singh's Chaman because you've either experienced his struggles with baldness firsthand or know someone who has. Along with portraying that credible picture, the films also treats us to some hilariously relatable bits about arranged marriages, blind dates, and liberal Indian parents.
Not a bad movie

This movie is very good example of how audiences only want to watch movies with good stars. This movie is not bad as compared to Bala as both are on same subject. But audience preferred to watch Bala but not this movie. Watch both the movies witout any prejudice and you will know that this movie is also a good comic movie.
good movie

Comedy for the spectators but not a comedy for Mr Chamman...very nice and well done movie and Mr Chamaan acting is very good..seeing this movie was seeing myself: teacher, single, partly bald( but comfortable with it).. this movie shows several aspect of this issue..

Could have been ... With better actors
basushubham2 November 2019
Paid 10 on 10 reviews... The real reviews will pop up in a few days, perhaps. The initial reviews raised the expectations...am feeling sorry for convincing my wife into it...expecting the humor standards of Sonu ki Tweety... None of the actors were exceptional...except the younger brother....sadly the lead actor is so expressionless...should be picked more for supporting roles with better actors...
CLAPPERBOARD REVIEW
nainasharma1211 March 2020
A story on body shaming and public mentality. The film fails to deliver on all the levels. A very weak and almost non existent story-line with equally poor execution. It fails to keep the interest of users even for a single scene. A wasted opportunity over a thoughtful topic.
Not that good of a movie

One of the best things about Ujda Chaman I have found is that the jokes are not all obvious, and because of this it has far more re-watchability than most comedies, I have seen the movie twice already, once with friends and then with Mom and Dad. If you really need a good laugh out loud movie, to make you feel good, this is one of them! We were rolling with laughter

Remake of a Kannada film
gruvy-muvy5 January 2020
This is a less than satisfactory remake of the Kannada film, 'Ondu Motteya Kathe' (= 'Story of an Egg'). Here's why:
The original cleverly uses the bespectacled and unconventional looks, the coastal Kannada dialect, and of course the natural baldness of Raj B Shetty (actor & director) to tell a comic story with a message.
Whereas 'Ujda Chaman' has to recreate this situation which makes it a tad contrived and less effective than the original.
Still, a decent watch if you have not seen the original.

Poor direction with a soul less performance
anirbansanfui7514 February 2020
Abhishek Pathak's direction is below average and Sunny singh's soul less performance make it even worse...so many flaws and dumb logics.example-a patient is taking a admitted patient outside with a wheelchair to eat maggi in the middle of the night who was under observation.this is just only one...do not waste your precious time on it watch 'bala' instead;much better film.
