Great

A lot of action, cool story and good visuals. That is the way this episode can be summed up and that usually goes to some extent for all of the episodes but this one takes it to a whole new level, defenetly worth the wait.

Nice plot moving on

Great to see Sean Bean portraying M. Wilford. There's some nice and interesting things in this episode, like the whole research lab, probably doing mutations and experimentations, the snow (is it getting warmer? Well it was in the film at least), Melanie's relationship with Wilford and her daughter, and the whole train situation. Just hope the writers won't ruin the show. Also, I was almost expecting Mr. Wilford to die at the end of the episode, usually, Sean Bean characters don't last long.

I'm totally onboard with this (no pun intended)

Sean Bean as Mr Wilford is the definition of perfect casting, genuinely don't think there's anyone that fits this role better than him. This starts the 2nd season off with a bang really enjoyed this episode and I'm so glad snow piercer is back, season 1 might not have been perfect but for the most part I had a really good time with it. This might just be the strongest episode to date, the fight scenes are excellent. I just enjoy this world so much I can't wait to find out what happens next, brilliant start.

Right whre it left it,with Sean Bean on the cast i feel this season should be an upgrade after the mediocre first season(i say mediocre cause it was either very good or very boring)...I think is one of the series i would like to binge watch but week by week its fine by me at this moment...But it is a good start

Warning: Spoilers
Season two starts off right were we left it with Snowpiercer stopped having been overtaken and slowed by Big Alice with Melanie still outside. Layton and his crew scramble to deliver a list of goods to Big Alice which Melanie then boards.

Aboard Snowpiercer, the tail gets converted into a defensible border region between the two trains while the drama from last season's conflict continues to get sorted out. Ruth tries to keep her hand in all the doings and even does a big favor for Layton and Zara, although this reviewer suspects that Ruth isn't the kind of person who does anything for free. She seems unable to come to terms with the fact that she is no longer in charge.

Meanwhile on Big Alice, Melanie discovers her daughter aboard and gets medical treatment for frost bite. We also finally get to meet Mr. Wilford in the flesh, who reveals he has been waiting to catch up with Snowpiercer for a long time and many on the train blame Melanie for leaving them to die.

Unsure what to do with the closed door between trains, Pike takes the opportunity to barter with Big Alice's crew. Later a plan is put in place to breach the door, and the Snowpiercer leaders attack Big Alice, but they get repulsed by a large fighter who seems immune to cold.

Wilford, upset by the ill planned attack decides to separate from Snowpiercer, but the charge that Melanie planted prevents his plan. Now both trains are permanently joined in fate.

This reviewer felt like this was a very weak season opener compared to the excellent writing and pace of the previous. Wilford seems like a bitter man lost in luxury who hates when things don't go his way. Also quite weak was choosing a former child Disney actress to play Melanie's daughter. Surely the show could have found someone that actually resembled Jennifer Connelly and who can actually act. Disappointing, lets hope this doesn't set pace for the season.

40 carriages?
matt-108027 January 2021
Decent start but where on earth are the "40 carriages" of the Big Alice meant to be. Every shot of the exterior of the train clearly shows one big carriage. Really dumb attention to detail.

Winter was coming..

Warning: Spoilers
So when you think of it, it makes total sense for Sean Bean to play Mr. Wilford. I mean, he obviously foresaw "winter was coming"...so he build 2 massive survival trains! XD I'm interested to see how long his character stays this time before he dies though..

Why can't they just let go?
omartrujillo-55526 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
They just let part of the train (mid section - way more complicated maneuver), can't they just let go of the tail with the 2nd engine attached to it? Am I the only one seeing this?

Alex casting was incredible.
GraXXoR11 June 2021
The most annoying teenage character I have watched in a long time.

After just 20 seconds on screen I wanted to single handedly strangle her myself.. I almost had to stop watching and was nearly unable to get through this episode without skipping her parts..

Horrific. Brilliant.

[6.1] Alex on command!

Warning: Spoilers
Episode 1: A semi interesting season 2 pilot with an average flow, semi enthralling atmosphere divided between the Group, the Tail and Mr. Wilford, some generic good to bad acting, some nonsense as the very standard of the show, fillers for good measure, an "olympic" ice spider running and jumping like nothing you've ever seen, catching up wagon after wagon in a matter of minutes and a Melanie-made twist that she enjoyed very much, herself.

As first season beginning it was much stronger than first season starting episode. I've enjoyed watching this episode, it had some cute scenes, some blood, even Hulk, everything you want to see, lol.
