This is clearly a pure passion project. So it's a microbudget with a few technical hiccups (sound), it's solid entertainment with surprisingly good visual effects, fun performances and puppets! What else can you ask for really? It's the sort of film you could watch time and again. It's not a masterpiece, but it is just a joy to watch from start to finish. It's that sort of bizarre "what am I watching?" that keeps you coming back. I'd really like to see a follow up that's entirely puppets, but that's not to say the humans didn't do a good job. Lots of Buffalo regulars on screen. I'm looking forward to whatever these guys make next.
