After a sudden call from Mato, Minare goes on air for the first official episode of her program to give a fictitious report about how she killed Mitsuo, her ex-boyfriend.
Minare is surprised at the customers who recognized her voice on the radio. Mato and the MRS crew come by Voyager and recruits her right after she was told she'd be fired at the restaurant.
Tight on money, Minare decides to work at MRS and stays with Mizuho Nanba, an assistant director. Mato reveals his plan to have Minare host a late night program with her name in the title.
Manager Takarada gets in an accident so Minare goes back to working at Voyager. A mysterious woman, Makie Tachibana joins them to help out at the restaurant until Takarada recovers, but things start to get weird for Minare.
Nakahara lets Makie stay at his place where she reveals a dark family past to Meiko, his older sister. Minare is desperate for a segment idea so Mato sends her and Mizuho to investigate the sender of a mysterious fax.
As soon as Minare starts her broadcast, a strong earthquake strikes Hokkaido that causes a widespread power outage. Minare is put on the spot to continue her program during the disaster.
To use as content for her program, Minare calls her father to find out the origin of her name. Meanwhile, Manager Takarada returns to Voyager along with Toru, Makie's overprotective brother.
Nakahara gets bent out of shape when he finds out Minare went on a date with Mitsuo. At MRS, sound effect masters Kakoton and Kakoen join the crew for the next live radio drama broadcast.
