A Fantastic Episode Centered on One of My Favorite Characters

Warning: Spoilers
For some reason, I didn't care much for this episode when it first aired in 2006. Rewatching it today, however, I think it's excellent. This is a very exciting and high-stakes adventure, and it has Numbuh 362 as the central character.

Numbuh 362 has been putting up with a lot as Supreme Leader of the Kids Next Door, and she has decided she doesn't want to take it anymore. She starts a game of tag where whoever is "it" by noon will be the new Supreme Leader. When Father (technically a KND operative) is accidentally tagged by Numbuh 2, he plans to overflow every KND base with the dreaded vegetable broccoli. It's up to Numbuh 1 and Numbuh 362 to stop him.

Numbuh 362 is one of my favorite characters in "Kids Next Door," and it was great that we got an episode centered on her. We got to learn more about her: that she dislikes pressure and was evidently pretty close to Numbuh 1 (I'm a Nigel x Rachel shipper, just so you know).

The game of tag is a lot of fun to watch and has some funny moments. Even better is the climax where Numbuh 1 and Numbuh 362 battle against a whole army of Fathers. Numbuh 362 shows a lot of courage and ends up making Father tag her.

One minor issue with the episode is that they went a bit far with the broccoli thing. I don't mind that the kids consider it a kryptonite, but Rachel was in a coma for A WHOLE WEEK from her broccoli intake? Really? This could just be me, but even when I was a kid, I liked broccoli.

That doesn't keep this from being in my top 20 Kids Next Door episodes, however. This was a great finale to Season 5, and I have a whole new appreciation for it.
