Rough Start for James

Interesting episode as it's the first to star James as the main character. James is excited to start his first day and he ends up being a little careless as he accidentally blows steam on Sir Topham Hatt's🎩. Edward is a good mentor in this episode as he helps James to pull passengers. James is too excited that he goes too fast, James also overruns the platform at Dryaw Station. I wonder as to why Edward and James look sad in the scene where they're at Dryaw Station. I can tell James was worried about Sir Topham Hatt's 🎩 just by seeing his sad expression. My favorite scene in this episode is where Edward and James meet up with Thomas at Elsbridge. I don't think James meant to misbehave. I'm saying this because Sir Topham Hatt scolds him for apparently misbehaving and warns that he'll take his red paintwork away and have James painted blue instead and James obviously dislikes that idea. I think those words from Sir Topham Hatt put James in a sour mood and that's what made him rough with the coaches. James was very cross that he caused a pipe leak in a coach. James was gentle for the entire journey and was sure that he'd be in trouble later. Frankly, I'd be nervous too if I was gonna get in trouble. Keep your smokebox up James, everyone makes mistakes. You'll do better next time 😉.
