Sex & Nudity

  • Amy has a love interest in Sonic and also wears a short dress. Some people in the hub-worlds have apparent relationships, though this isn't focused on.

Violence & Gore

  • The "werehog" stages involve a lot of brawling with enemies, and some robots have guns. Mild violence but a little higher than a usual Sonic game.

Profanity

  • There is some mild name calling, but no profanity is spoken.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Some people are seen drinking wine, though this is not focused on.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The finale of the game is quite dark and extremely intense. Dark Gaia and Perfect Dark Gaia both have very intimidating and scary appearances. Perfect Dark Gaia's transformation sequence and the battle for both of them may be quite scary to younger children.
  • Sonic's initial transformation into the "werehog" in the opening cutscene may be considered intense to some and may scare younger players.
  • Sonic's transformation into the "werehog" at night isn't too intense, though it might be mildly upsetting for younger players to watch.
  • Some enemies may be startling to younger players when they appear suddenly.
  • The in game "werehog" transformations may mildy scare younger players.

Violence & Gore

  • Near the end of the game, Dark Gaia goes through a transformation cutscene, in which he grows new arms and eyes, and green goo/blood can be shown spurting out. His death cutscene shows vast amounts of green goo/blood flowing out of him while sinking into lava. These scenes can be surprisingly graphic for a game geared towards kids.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Chip's departure at the end of the game and the final end credits song may be upsetting to some.
