I had to quickly say!...
deanof-6734626 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Marty FINALLY losing his cool was frickin awesome!!

Also, Wendy suggesting that Navarro's sister take Marty's place...(A) that's a massive change in game plan that definitely should have been mentioned and discussed with Marty first. If Marty had done that, Wendy would never have gotten off her high horse! And, (B) it's a STUPID decision as logically what happens is Camilla running the cartel will have more means at her disposal to murder her brother...without Marty there to run things (as the FBI suggested he do full time!) and Navarro dead and Camilla untrustworthy, how would the Byrdes have any leverage anymore (they wouldn't), or even their lives (in way more danger)!

Only 3 episodes to go...hopefully the show ends well and if so...looking forward to rewatches in the future :-)

9/10 for this ep almost purely for the last 5 mins.

Finally, things start moving
michielkromhout4 May 2022
We're getting somewhere with the pressure finally making Marty stand up to...many things🤠 I'm also glad this Ben-thing (seems to) be over with John-Boy Walton seeking some alone time after telling Wendy her main personality flaw.

You're A Lot Less Easy To Love
noonieblount15 June 2022
That statement by Wendy's father was spot on. In this episode Wendy is showing how much she wants to be in charge of EVERYTHING. It's like a power trip with her. She doesn't listen, she doesn't care, she's very reckless. She thinks Javi's mother Camilla is an ally but I hope soon she will find out she's playing with fire.

At last!
FilmBrat1051 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
It only took 4 seasons, but at last, Marty finally reaches his breaking point. I'm not crazy about Rachel being back, hopefully her return doesn't feel as contrived in the next episode. I love seeing the push & pull between Marty & Wendy, the fear they have in each other's instability. Marty offers some perspective and insight about Wendy to Charlotte, and says exactly what everyone hates about Wendy, seemingly hitting the nail on the head. At the end of the episode when Marty beats the fella up, Wendy shows a little bit of fear, and rightfully so. They have teeter-tottered each other to these points and it's all coming to a head. Excellent storytelling, cinematography & acting.

Marty loses it
gedikreverdi17 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Marty finally loses it and he has a million reasons to do so. Wendy can cause the calmest person lose his sanity. It was Navarro's sister Camila who ordered the hit because she thinks Navarro killed his son Javi. Ruth's sole reason of living is seeing the Byrds hurt. Lastly, Ben's father almost makes sure it's his sister who made him disappear. And also, that redneck Thelma and Louise was hilarious even though I hate Wendy.

Fantastic Character Dynamics, Just Fantastic
Oktay_Tuna14 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Marty, Wendy, Ruth, Navarro and her sister. The show decided to focus on these 5 characters and I am loving it. Marty and Wendy relation is becoming more interesting with each episode. What a marriage, I mean. I would watch a show where it is all about the relationship between Marty and Wendy. I like the direction Ruth is heading but I think her arc is way less interesting compared to the other characters which I think is also true for the Grandpa and Jonah. Navarro, sister, cartel and FBI stuff are all very interesting and seeing how Marty and Wendy interact but also fail to interact with them is very fascinating to watch. I love how Marty and Wendy plan things behind their backs. That's why Ozark is a great show. All about Wendy, Marty and how they interact with things(of course there are parts where Ruth shines as well).

Ozark is NOT Breaking Bad...
niksrowland20 May 2022
Nor does it need to be. Let shows stand on their own, for God's sake. If any character has a freak out moment, that doesn't mean it's a direct copy of Walter White. That's the same reasoning that would argue, "Oh this character cheats on their spouse!!?! That's a Sopranos copy!!!?!?".

Two different characters. Two different places in their development. Two different motives and rationals. Two different results for their acts.

Good finale scene, very well done. Best moment in the show in a LONG time (since S2)

Rear of the episode was alright. A LOT better than most of the interactions presented throughout S4. Plus the addition of Rachael worked well albeit slightly forced but I enjoy the early callbacks; takes me back to the show's Golden Age.

Redneck Thelma and Louise!
bosporan3 May 2022
Following the Mexican expedition last time, the story is set in the Ozarks progressing all of the main plot strands. A routine episode, but marching forward toward the finale and building the pressure on the Byrdes.

Ozark is sooooo Good.
moviesfilmsreviewsinc28 July 2022
Episode 11 opens up with Marty watching a maid clean up the blood of Arturo - a man he ordered to kill as he regains control of the cartel on behalf of Omar Navarro. The next day, Omar's sister Camila asks Marty if she can visit him. She doesn't know he's in a coma, so Marty buys time. For Ruth, episode 11 starts with her on a flight. She visits Rachel while at work and has a business proposition for her. Marty returns to the Ozarks, and Charlotte gives him a tight hug. He looks over to his wife, knowing she gambled with his life. Over dinner, Marty describes life running the cartel and makes it sound boring. Charlotte reveals that Ruth wants to meet them for a business proposal. Wendy tells Marty how rumors are circulating about getting Omar Navarro off the SDN list (this is part of the plan to extradite him to Mexico). Marty knows the only person he's told about this is Omar's sister - he now believes that it was the sister that put out a hit list on Omar because of the murder of her son, Javi. Marty now feels incredibly guilty for getting Arturo killed. Wendy reassures him that the only way forward is their current plans. Marty learns from the FBI that Omar Navarro is awake. The FBI also suggests that if Omar doesn't fully recover, Marty could have a permanent position at the cartel. And so, Marty visits Omar at the hospital and tells him he's handled the situation with the traitor who tried to kill him. Omar tells Marty that he played his part well. When Marty returns to the Ozarks, Omar's sister Camila is in their house spending time with Wendy. Wendy reveals she reached out to the sister. Camila asks if she can see her brother Omar again. When Camila leaves, Wendy tells Marty that using Omar's sister is the smartest play to get Clare back into funding the foundation. Marty is frustrated because they cannot trust Camila. As the episode ends, we see where Marty truly is at in his life. Camila finally gets her meeting with Omar at the prison hospital. She tells Omar that Marty and Wendy can move mountains and they will get him home. Wendy asks Omar if Camilla can replace Marty at the cartel while he gets him off the SDN list. Marty listens nearby, and it's written all over his face that he did not know Wendy was going to do this. Omar agrees to it, leaving no room for Marty to disagree. Camilla is now in charge of the cartel. Marty brutally beats the man repeatedly. Fortunately, another man drags Marty away.

This isn't business
dannylee-7808215 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
1. Rachel is back 2. Marty is back 3. Camila is in town

Marty not realizing he killed an Innocent man is a bit of a stretch. It was quite obvious he confessed to get out of torture.

Seems like everyone's motive is a little questionable. Rachel getting back in the shady business in a place filled with her pain just because Tuck was neglected seems like a stretch. Feels artificial enough so that the writers have some major opposing force against the Byrds. And it's been a minute since I saw Ruth and Rachel's screen relationship so to me It's hard to understand her motive.

I think Camila being in the picture works well. Active power struggle within the Cartel hasn't been showcased until now so it adds to the show.

Marty's confession was so raw. I feel like it's the first time that we see him do that in front of Charlotte. Constant undermining of Marty by Wendy cause now he has no leverage with the FBI. But I love the ending scene. Marty has never punched anyone before but he did it to stand up for Wendy, to her surprise. They have the most complicated relationship ever!!

This Episode begins with Marty, he is still in Mexico to help Navarro. Marty returned back home. Ruth tells Mel some more information about Ben. Marty visits Navarro at the hospital. Pound of Flesh
bobcobb30111 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Stop with the abundance of rap music playing every single time Ruth is on the screen. She desperately needs some direction too because I am not sure what is going on there.

Too Much Netflix Money
Bill-41215 May 2022
Most of the season's "second half" has been a waste of time, not advancing the story, just burning up the production budget to no real end.

Like most series, this one has hung on too long, lost its sheen even with the critics. Plot and characters are stuck in a hole. Should have ended with Helen's demise.

Great Value Breaking Bad.
nikosklimentos8 May 2022
Boring episode with an ending that doesn't save it. The writers are trying too hard to make Marty "break bad" and he's just no Walter White. The show was fun for a bit, but I'm over it.

Weird
magedqayed30 April 2022
One of the weirdest episodes of Ozark, don't know what is the point of it. It is not related to the main story and very very boring.

Disappointing season really.
