Beautiful landscapes and nice encounters.

I enjoyed very much this journey through the Jura: beautiful lanscapes (mountains, lakes, pastures, medievaltowns) and nice encounters.

Ther are some interesting aspects of this region: the hiking and equestrian trails ( the guide Lucas Humbert and the adolescents of Douai-the discovery of the nature, the ascent of the Crêt de Chalam-, Laurence Bourgeot and the Refuge of Berbois- the yurt , the teepe and the Asian cooking-, the 500 kilometers of equestrian trails and 20 guesthouses for the riders and their horses), the craftsmen and craftswomen (the illustrator Marine Egraz, the carpenter Mathisse Dalstein and the making of furniture, Gildas Bodet and the practice of making the traditional stone walls), the lake of Vouglans (Marie-Annick Messi and the breast cancer survivors called "Les Sirènes de Bellecin"-the practice of the rowing as an excellent recovery therapy-, Bruno the fishery guard and the swallowed "Chartreuse"), the forests of the Jura (the forester Cécile and the woodcutter Valère, the care for the young tree when cutting a tree, the "Lycée du Bois"-mainly sons of woodcutters and foresters-, the great opportunities of work after the study, Gaël Truche and the suspended table in the forest) , the castle of Chevreaux and the béhourd (Jacques Genest and the Association des Amis de Chevreaux, the volunteers in medieval costume, the mdieval games, Loïc Delval and the practice of the béhourd in the Jura) and the vineyards of Pupillin (the wine maker Julien Marechal, the tradition of the "Biou"-a huge grape prepared by the women, Anne-Laure Petit, the female wine maker, the procession with the Biou to the church and the "vin d'honneur" at the end of the ceremony).

I enjoyed the encounters of Sophie with the paragliding coach Erin Chauvin, with the fireman Fred Wauquier and the cheese maker Marc Janin in Champagnole, with Marie and Mathieu Vassal at Salins-les-Bains, with Gilles Moyne of the Athénas Association, with the biathlon champion Anaïs Bescond at Prémanon and Les Rousses, with Jean-Claude Masson (La Ligne des Hirondelles and Poligny), with Jean-Christophe at Poligny also, with the chef Joël Cesari at Dole and with Rachel Roussel-Voisard (the farm of the poulardes); nice encounters with very kind French men and women.
