Stick with it.

A Touring company arrive to train at The Village Hall, but with The Dame absent, it falls on mature performer Harry to train then, however the company are in chaos, spite and bitterness overtake.

Don't be put off by some of the early downs, it really improves and develops as it progresses.

Initially, I was going to slate it, but it won me over, it becomes a rather cracking episode, it's a clash of personality types, and with nobody to control them, they clash in amusing style. So much spite and venom.

That scene where The Dame puts everyone in their place, wonderful, Mary Morris certainly changes things up.

Michael Latimer is the absolute star of the show, what a performance, he'd have been known to many viewers as assistant to Van Der Valk, Kroon, his character Ken is so full of malice, he presents as flamboyant and charismatic, but he's a nasty piece of work.

Watch out for a young, sweet faced Lesley Manville, so sweet as Merle.

Olivia Breeze who plays Gillian does actually look like a dancer.

8/10.
