Sometimes you want to put the future behind you...

Warning: Spoilers
The future is unpredictable. We are never truly prepared for what might occur. Even if we knew what was going to happen before it happened, there would be very little we could do to stop it. This lesson is harshly learned as Jane purchases a very unusual pair of glasses that literally show future events before her eyes. George decides to come home early from work, spending a whole two minutes describing how his family would jump to kiss his feet when he walked in the door, but when he does for real, he finds nobody home but Astro. Each family member had gone off to do their thing so the warm welcome George was hoping for was not to be. Meanwhile, deep in the dark recesses of the galaxy, Jane and Judy race to a new, flashy, high-class shopping center, Bevdayo. With Judy at the stick, they arrived at the speed of light. Good thing they had on their seat belts. Bevdayo was a bustle with weird aliens and odd gadgets. Jane buys a good assortment of said gadgets but Judy points out she hadn't gotten anything for herself. That's when Jane sees a lovely pair of rose-colored glasses. The salesman assures them they are very special and have secret abilities. Now there's an offer you can't refuse. But what secret abilities could a pair of glasses contain, Jane wonders as they zoom home.

Well, as it turns out, Jane's glasses can see the immediate future. She can see things happen before they happen. Nobody believes her at first, until enough incidents befall them as she predicted. She can even predict George and the kids doing idiotic things before they do them just to test the glasses. Say, these clairvoyant specs could really be worth something. George decides he and Jane will try their luck at the race track. Jane predicts the winners, George bets, and soon they have a really nice sum of money. But uh oh, two men in dark glasses seem to be watching them. Just two nosy bystanders, maybe. More races and even more winnings later, Jane still can't take her eyes off the two men watching them. Figuring them for gangsters, they make a break for it, smashing Jane's glasses in the process. Now how would they know what's going to happen? They arrive home, making plans for their money, when suddenly the two men fly in, revealing themselves to be from the IRS. They collect taxes on the winnings and take all but $2. Gangsters? Yep, the legal kind. So, Jane returns to Bevdayo and comes back with a pair of special frames for everybody. Maybe they can all see the immediate future now. Well, Elroy's can only see Bevdayo. George's see the immediate past. Judy's has x-ray vision, and Jane's new pair sees the distant future- seeing George, Elroy and Judy being old and finds it hilarious, however its not so funny when she gets a glimpse of her aged self.

This was a fun episode, let me tell you. Good twists, a few surprises, it was just all in all a good idea. It has a good message too, like there are just some things we're better off not knowing. The future is one of them.
