Violence & Gore

  • People get stabbed and sliced with swords, and shot with arrows. The overall dead body count is around 50. There is some blood, no gore. An orc pushes an arrow into a man's head. You cannot see this but it is implied it happens and the man is shown later wounded with a bloody bandage over his head.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The enemies in this Lord of the Rings fan film are a half human/ half animal creatures called orcs. They have disfigured and discolored faces. They talk menacingly and making grunting sounds. They also walk and run hunched over. I would think many kids under 10 would be frightened of them.
  • The beginning scene shows a village being attacked by orcs. A young girl is standing in the midst of the battle. An orc is slaying her brother while he tells her to run. The scene ends when an orc is slowly approaching the girl. Nothing is seen after that. The scene is short but is a bit frightening.
  • The following scene shows a husband, wife, and a teenage daughter carrying their wounded son on a cart through a wooded area. A large group of orcs ambushes them but a group of DĂșnedains(good guys) rescues them and slays all the orcs.
