Terrible Film....

Warning: Spoilers
As far as snooker "film" go, I woudn't even class this as a film. It's one of the porrest attempts I've seen at depicting a story involving snooker.

For a start, the film is just one big mmonologueof the main character speaking in a "dressing room" before he goes out onto the main stage to play.

I personally would have wrote this as a stage play rather than a film as film is meant to be a visual medium, and this film was far too much based on TELL NOT SHOW rather than the other way around.

If the writer had used more FLASHBACKS or DREAM SEQUENCES in the script he might have been able to get around this. For example, the main character in the script tells of his love and betrayal of hi wife Tanya. Would have been great to have seen some FLASHBACKS of their relationship trials and tribulations.

This belongs more to the stage than screen.

The only good thing it had going for it, was seeing the likes of JOHN VIRGO and the now RIP WILLIE THORNE make cameo appearances commenting on how the main character Derick Hodges used to play in his heyday.

Overall, a poor attempt at a snooker flick.
