Ep. 1 started with a 4 min one take shot from where you'll understand like previous season this is going to be technically brilliant. As we already know all the characters very well Raj & DK didn't waste time by reintroducing them and that's a good thing. The amount of humour was less as compared to Ep. 1 of season 1. But that's okay. Glad to see 2 brilliant actors like Seema Biswas & Vipin Sharma back again on screen.

It's not much linked with season 1. So, if anyone hasn't seen season 1 (although everyone has seen it) there'll be no problem while watching this season.

After watching the last scene I'm just hoping this not to become a personal revenge.

Brilliant series .... and great acting. Manoj Bajpai and smantha.

Firstly, it's a completely different story. Season 1 storyline is over and a new story line begins. The first season ended on a cliffhanger, which is revealed later in the episode within a few minutes. That's okay. Good and believable ending to that storyline, but also this new story looks promising and interesting.

The show still has its old charm that of a secret service agent Srikant Tiwari trying to strike a balance bw his work and family life, only this time he's working in a private company. But from the looks of it, he misses his old job that of saving people and will thus get back to it soon maybe.

The show strikes a perfect balance of humour, thrill and family life just like The Sopranos or even BB which is what makes it special. This was a solid opening episode!

Best series in 2021 really i love this manoj Bajpayee acting better than many bollywood star kids.

All good but can't choose Hindi language. All r speaking Tamil.

Brilliant yet again. These actors are brilliant. We should create such contents more.

Manoj sir is outstanding actor he is so awesome and all other actors where to awesome the web series best writing ,best actors,and best screen play love all.

Something different story , and very hard work from manoj sir.

Good series you can skip 4 episodes which are unnecessary i think.. After those only story picks up.. Next season Corona**

First of all I have reduced 2* for slow pace and long episodes.

After a lot of delays, the excitement level for 'The Family Man 2' has raised to a different level. The Raj & Dk created Amazon original show focused on the life of Srikant Tiwari who is a TASC intelligence officer and also a family man himself. The unique storyline and quirky humor of Raj & DK have made season 1 one of the best Indian web series. And from there arises a question. Does the second season live up to the expectation of the admirers?

Well, yes it did. Raj & DK successfully continued the essence of season 1 with some technical improvement. Though it's a standalone story and a new mission but the strings of the previous mission are attached. All the unanswered questions are cleared out by the makers (Well, the important ones) and in this season they try to fulfill the gaps from whatever criticism they received from the previous one. This season is better than the last one in both storytelling and technical perspective. The character development is so good, every character is well fleshed out. Be it Suchi or JK, If the camera is on you then you are the star. The balance of writing in Srikant's personal and professional life is quite well presented. The very reason the show is called 'The Family Man'. The humor is intact in this season also.

Coming to the acting part, every actor put forward their best. The outstanding performance by the supporting cast is the backbone of the show. Priyamani as Suchitra has blended herself so beautifully that you'll start to believe she's the character. Sharib Hashmi as JK has some of the best lines. His chemistry with Manoj Bajpayee is so adorable and one asset of the show. Sunny Hinduja, Dilip Tahil, Darshan Kumar, and Sharad Kelkar have made their mark in the brief appearances. Ashlesha Thakur as Dhriti looks so promising in the show and Vedant Sinha as Atharv is so spontaneous.

Now, coming to the new actors Ravindra Vijay as Mutthu or Devadarshini as Lady Officer Umayal are really good. Veteran actors like Seema Biswas and Vipin Sharma are amazing in their respective roles. Talking about the main surprise of season 2 it is definitely Samantha Prabhu Akkineni. She is a star of the Telegu Industry; we know her from that. The very decision of her to do this series needs applause. And my god what a crackling presence she has! She is the scene-stealer in every way. She doesn't have much dialogue but her expressions are top-notch. And what can I say about Manoj Bajpayee? A great actor doing great acting. Last but not least at all, Asif Basra makes his presence felt and we gonna miss him.

The series is 40% in Tamil. Though it has its disadvantages I appreciate that Raj & DK took this risk. Two people from the same origin converse in their mother tongue. That's what normal and I praise Raj & DK to stay this authentic. Many people have started watching regional content with subtitles and I know many people are still not comfortable with subtitles but being authentic is also very important and I'm glad that 'The Family Man' did what 'The Suitable Boy' or 'Kahaani' lacked. The camera work is fantastic. The one-take sequences, the chase sequences are shot so well. The actions are so well choreographed. The casting department put their A-game on by casting actors who look authentic to that world.

In the final word, The Family Man 2 raised its bar high for the next season, and of course, it's a must-watch.

And the best stuff 'newspaper cuttings' is nada.

I loved the first season. I loved the subtleness, the one liners, the ambiguous ending, Gul Panag's hard hitting dialogues, etc.

This one seemed a bit rushed n far fetched.

Also i feel the ending is a big meh n very much rushed.

In the review of the last episode of season 01, i had a question about the disappearance of Kareem's girlfriend. Well, this 2nd season cleared my doubts.

In his book, The Tragedy of Sri Lanka, William McGowan wrote:

While travelling on a bus when a mob laid siege to it, passengers watched as a small boy was hacked 'to limb-less death'. The bus driver was ordered to give up a Tamil. He pointed out a woman who was desperately trying to erase the mark on her forehead-called a kumkum-as the thugs bore down on her. The woman's belly was ripped open with a broken bottle and she was immolated as people clapped and danced. In another incident, two sisters, one eighteen and one eleven, were decapitated and raped, the latter 'until there was nothing left to violate and no volunteers could come forward', after which she was burned. While all this was going on, a line of Buddhist monks appeared, arms flailing, their voices raised in a delirium of exhortation, summoning the Sinhalese to put all Tamils to death.

A must watch brilliant and thrilling series "The Family Man 2". This time in Chennai with the sensitive Lankan issue.. Kudos to the team, who did so much ground work to bring this series so realistic.

Hats off to Samantha for performing brilliantly as a tamil rebel.. Her eyes portraies the emotions of her character. Mentally and physically tough. At an end of one episode scene, where she explains the purpose of being alive still was a goosebums..

Manoj bhaiya zindabad. Best out of the best performance by Manoj Bajpai and yes This is far better than most of the web series.

I had low expectations since I didn't like the ending of first Season. But here we are with an all new trouble and enemies, and the first episode gives a high profile punch. Found 1st episode more realistic than first season and it is something one never may expect.

What a movie ,Raj and Dk Sir.... Tremendous plot and beautifuly and dangerously shot...Superb acting of manoj sir , Samantha, Priyamani,Sharib & everyone....

Samantha steals the show.its a must watch. Do watch it.

Most shows usually cannot replicate the same magic they created in Season 1.

But this show delivers and exceeds all expectations. The humor in the writing plus the performances takes this series to the next level. Sharib Hashmi, Priyamani, Manoj Bajpayee, Sunny Hinduja.all perform brilliantly. But the scene stealer is Samantha. I think every season henceforth will have a stellar performer and it will be brilliant.

Spam and miss leading series I hate this I don't like.

Just superb to watch FM 2.0 ...it has everything excellent acting, real dialouges , nd amazing shooting....so 10/10...aa great must watch for everyone.

I think by mistake they release tamil version. In 80% of show they speek in tamil.

It looks like south movie with just 1-2min of hindi or english language, hate this season just because of this.
