The ring Japanese movie is scary and have a lore, this movie has dumb deaths, ans its plot is silly

A PSA about the excesses of internet

The movie more or less followed the patter of the Ring/Ringu series but this time it was a... web novel?. And was also a big PSA about how using bad the internet can have baaad consequences.
I gave it 3 because they acting was okay and because it was mildly interesting at the begining.
Not Recomended.
- The first 15 minutes are interesting then everything just kinda happens. The plot happens so fast like in two days then it just ends with a friendly reminder about the internet. And thats it.
- You don't get to meet/relate the characters, they are just there, talk, die and then gone to the next scene. The only character you get to know does exactly the same: Appears, talk, dies and then on to the next scene.
- The movie unfortunately only had subtitles for the speaking parts. The reading ones (chats, pages and notes) had none, soo you had no idea what was going on in the scene. This became anoying as in many scenes they showed chat and web pages.
- The end was an expositional dump: they explained you why everything happens, who did it and all. They expected you to feel something for the characters but since you never get to know any of them it ends up being uninteresting.
- The entire "internet is bad" thing felt shoehorned and undermined the little potencial the movie had and actually became ridiculous. They should had dealt with it more seriously instead of adding it at the end.
I gave it 3 because they acting was okay and because it was mildly interesting at the begining.
Not Recomended.
