SCALP is another indie horror flick with a bunch of campers lost in the woods and encountering something sinister a la THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT. However, this isn't a found footage film (it might have been better had it been) and there's a historical twist in the tale as characters from the 19th century appear and interact with those in the present. There are some cheap gore effects splashed about but this mainly consists of padding and uninteresting attempts at atmosphere building.
