The movie starts solid and the first half is really entertaining. It has good moments and the lead Surbhi does complete justice to her role as Sonam Gupta. She makes the character believable and is the soul of the movie. Jassi as Sintoo bhaiyya is average. The supporting cast does an amazing job specially both the fathers and Vijay Raaz. This movie could have been so much more, had it not lost the plot and gone on a different track in the second half.

HEADACHE!!!

This movie starts fun, then becomes utterly boring. The girl keeps saying she needs money for her dreams but not even once she revealed what her dreams were.
Total disoriented, with no script, no proper message, weird movie! I don't think I can watch this genre for a long time now.
BTW howcome throwing pots on guests is funny??

Worst movie a director can make. She cheats nearly 10 men takes away the money and atlast she is shown as a good person just because she returns the money to one of the people she cheated not even all of them, and it is shown as the boys are stupid and they don't understand the reason why she cheated.
This is one the worst possible stories ever written in bollywood history, don't watch the movie nonsense movie.

Useless Drama In The Movie That Offers Nothing New !!!
cs_rahul_prasad12 September 2021
Set in a small North Indian town, the film comes across as a derivative, generic dramedy that is afraid to go beyond the clichés associated with the genre.
Going by the trailer, one might think writer-director Ssaurabh Tyagi's dramedy Kya Meri Sonam Gupta Bewafa Hai? Is inspired by a meme that went viral when a person wrote "Sonam Gupta Bewafa Hai" on a Rs. 10 currency note and it grabbed the attention of social media. But the film has very little to do with that incident. It is there, but it just comes and goes without affecting the main plot in any way. Even if Tyagi had removed this incident from the film, it wouldn't have made a difference to the plot.
He 26-year-old Sintoo (Jassie Gill), who, according to a fortune teller, is destined to be a popular and successful man, spends his days following his dream girl Sonam Gupta (Surbhi Jyoti) on a bike with his friend. His father (Atul Srivastava) owns a shop and wants him to concentrate on the business.
The setting is too familiar. A small town in North India, a good-for-nothing young man who is mischievously trying to woo a girl way out of his league, a worried father, a frustrated sister, and one jobless friend who doesn't seem to have any personal life and just spends his time riding along with our protagonist on his bike. Everything comes across as a poorly recycled version of what we have seen in numerous Hindi films in the past few years.
For the most part, Kya Meri Sonam Gupta Bewafa Hai? Comes across as a derivative, generic dramedy set in a small town of North India that is too afraid to step outside the clichés associated with this genre. It is only in the last 40 minutes, when our aimless protagonist Sintoo tries to get his life on track, that the film becomes watchable. The second half has some genuinely dramatic moments that will tug at your heart. The film also makes some risky choices towards the end, but by then it's already too late.
Every romantic interaction of the lead pair is followed by songs that hinder the pace of the film and don't let the changing dynamics of their relationship and their character arcs be highlighted. It's like we see them grow from strangers to friends and then a couple through a series of montages instead of proper, well-written scenes.
Another thing missing from the film is those snappy, funny one-liners that will get at least a few chuckles. The unfunny dialogues even dilute the scenes which had the potential of generating some laughter.
The performances are also very average. Jassie Gill struggles to bring forth the dilemma of his character. While watching the film, one can't shake off the feeling that his performance seems to be based on the other performances we have seen in films in this genre. His limitations as an actor get further underlined in emotional scenes.
Surbhi Jyoti, despite playing the female lead, has little to do in the film. Even after the film ends, we feel like we hardly know her character. Atul Srivastav and Vijay Raaz once again deliver solid performances despite having very little screen time.

Warning: Spoilers
This movie shows that men are not at fault it always the women at fault.
In the movie the lead actor (Sintu) is jobless and worthless and spends the whole day loitering for the attention for the girl. His father has a shop but Sintu is not interested.
ON TOP OF ALL THIS JUST TO SHOW THAT THEY ARE WEALTHY AND THE BUSINESS IS DOING GOOD, THEY JUST KEEP ON TAKING LOAN AFTER LOAN WITHOUT ANY CONSEQUENCE.
The film roles around Sintu and his mother praising Sintu just because a saint told them that his horoscope is superb and nothing to worry about.
This movie should be a eye opener to all the MALE specious not to take anything granted.

Mess!!! Sonam gupta is not bewafa but hard core criminal .
aditya_p00713 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Movie start with with hope and ends in mess. This movie tries to portray sonam as a girl with BIG DREAMS . But you will never see what dreams she has. She just do criminal activity and loot the unsuspecting people. On other side director and scriptwriter fails to show male lead character in bad light. Yes he may be spoiled etc but that is not a crime. And in last 15 min of the movie it tries to show sonam a hard core criminal who looted at least 5 grooms in same locality as some kind of big hearted, good intentioned girl. I was shocked that she got marriage proposals after this incident and she is still living in same locality. How come no one filed a FIR? This movie is not worth watching. Stay away from this pile of BS.

Movie Bewafa Hai
sanjeevanwar13 September 2021
Anwar Says: A crumbling movie trying to capitalise the viral one liner sensation on ten rupee note ' Sonam Gupta Bewafa Hai '. This forced line you would find in every frame of the movie. Unfortunate part is that the movie has been pitched as comedy but you would hardly find even a single sequence as funny.
Now the cast, the lead Jassie Gill and Surbhi Jyoti could not be able to put any impact or live the character. Supporting cast is rich with Bijender Kala, Vijay Raj , Atul Srivastva and Vibha Chibber but the weak screenplay even dampens their performances. Cinematography looks outdated and not been able to catch the glimpses of small town.
At some places, I even experienced the links are missing. The songs are also highlighting the one liner and not hummable. Director Tyagi with two S in Ssaurabh, decided to write the story himself, which was definitely not a worthwhile idea and this affected the whole venture, which could have been a much better film .
Watch it if you really want to tribute Surekha Sikri , being her last appearance.
