Good plot line, but the soap opera scenes drag it down.

The setup is good - a young boy can identify the bank robbers, but out of fear he refuses to speak up. The bad guys knocked his Mom into a coma; so he has to live with his uncle George (Ohara's partner George Shaver) until Mom recuperates in ICU.

Ohara himself gets second billing in this story. It is all about Lt. Shaver and his nephew Kevin. They talk about fatherhood and family togetherness and nutritious meals for dinner. Yawn.

That is where the story drags. The tension of the bad guys lurking in the shadows, ready to shoot the kid, are interspersed with father-son type dialogue between Lt. Shaver and "Kevin".

It could have been a good show. But it just goes too slowly, and has too many issues. The bad guys sticking around after robbing a bank is improbable. The actor who plays Kevin (Gabriel Damon) comes across as stilted and artificial. You get tired of this character in a hurry.

Sorry, this could have been an 8-star episode, but it only comes in at a 6.
