This show is a joke

I watch just every cake competition I can find. This is not a real competition. It's a mockery. The concept to make a life size person out of cake is a great idea and I was excited to watch the show. Natalie Sideserf gives some good advice and insight so I like her on the show. The other two are failing miserably at trying to be funny. Do they know anything about cake?

I really like the idea of this show, but am disappointed that it isn't a real cake competition. I am hoping they will change it up and make it a serious competition show.

This is really bad

I normally love cooking/cake competitions, but... This is really bad. The judges are not interesting or funny. The cakes look like something someone would make in a introduction to cake decorating class. Sorry, but this is a pass.

Not funny enough to be a fun show not serious enough to be a real competition

Two of the judges show no knowledge of cake/baking and talk over the third judge who does have some positive feedback and knowledge to share. This should just be a talk show of the two judges that want to make fun of competitors. Seriously, it was not fun to watch them continuously make unfunny jokes and openly mock the competitors. This dynamic goes beyond good-natured teasing and into uncomfortable and mean.

I love a good silly show (especially during these times) and enjoy funny baking shows like Nailed It. This show seems to market itself as a serious competition but does not deliver. The cakes at the end are sub-par and not always finished.

It's the Judges

The premise had promise and the one judge who knows something about cake is OK. The other two judges "ad lib", try to be funny, repeat each other's comments incessantly, and have nothing "cakey" to say.

The woman is especially bad. She's not funny and her comments are irrelevant. Scrap the judges, retool the show to make it a real competition, and don't feel obligated to hire internet one hit wonders.

I like Kalen online though.

Poor Excuse for a food (cake) show

The concept would be great, but the hosts are not engaging nor entertaining at all. watched the first few shows to (be fair). but after seeing so many good to great cake decorating shows, this one FAILS miserably.

It is very clear the hosts havent the foggiest idea about cake decorating, nor the talent or skill involved in the process.

I had such high hopes for this show.. Lady Gaga, the Rock, etc. sadly let down. wont be watching anymore - unless they replace the hosts with REAL talent.

This is really, really bad...

We watch kid baking shows, Buddy vs Duff, holiday baking shows and more. This one we could only watch for about 10 minutes. The premise of making cakes that look like people is OK, but somewhat limiting. But the really, really unwatchable part is the judges. They make snarky comments about the bakers, are not funny or interesting...basically so annoying that it's impossible to ignore. Sorry, but we're done.

If this is a preview of Discovery+ you're in trouble.....

The judges are awful...

One judge does seem to know what she is talking about. The other 2 make this unwatchable. Instead if getting some insight to how to do life size cakes we are drowned in senseless talk from 2 of the 3 host.

Not sure about all of the judges yet. Although I laugh a whole lot I do not feel they are cake experts. The show has promise

Worst show ever!

I'm watching this now. The hosts are so unprofessional for a Food Network show. If Tregaye and the other two are the best the producers could find, yikes! This seems more like The View, with all of the off-color remarks.

I take baking seriously and I know that the bakers take it seriously as well. I didn't like the fact that the judges were joking about how the cakes came out. I think that is was wrong. They need new hosts or this show will not make it.

Fun and Lighthearted

I think everyone who wrote reviews previously is missing the whole concept of this show. It is not meant to be as serious as some of the other shows, it is supposed to be funny and over the top. The bakers are laughing right along with the judges and everyone seems to be having fun. They know 14 hours isnt enough time to show what they can really do. Lighten up people, it's a TV show, entertainment is kind of the whole point. Oh, and Natalie Sideserf is the "judge who seems to know about cake." Internationally acclaimed and her cakes start at $500, she is kind of huge in the cake world. Funny how you all say you are serious about baking but dont know who she is...
