This movie is a HOOT!

It starts out with "coming attractions" & "concessions ads". That alone should let you know you're not watching a SERIOUS movie. I laughed continuously through this movie, which is more than I can say for a lot of big budget comedies.

Yes, this movie is also "horror". It moves right along, keeps you occupied. There are lots of film homages/references, which was nice to see. It's about a killer and his friend, who doesn't want to believe that his friend IS a killer. For being a low budget film, the gore was pretty well done, and cringe-worthy (in a good way). While the killer is killing there are lots of funny things going on: a disappearing cat, people "magically" appearing on the screen, lots of people not even noticing that the killer has on a blood-soaked white lab coat & his hands & face are covered in blood, and the funniest bit (ongoing throughout the film) was people NOT noticing (or at least not reacting to) hearing a man continuously screaming outside!

Watch with an open mind, and you will enjoy. Yes, the movie is comical, but it also makes you go "YECHHH!". PERFECT combination of comedy and horror.

A disturbing view in the window of a mad man's hobby.

The story takes off with an average group of friends going to school and planning out their futures until a student Hayeword becomes off setting in class, Jeff who associates with him despite his odd personality things progressively become odd to terrifying.

It is to make point that this film offers dark humor with other B Side film references, a mix of gore and terror all in one. It does get rocky on certain scenes but carries its own with its main villain and its friend to avenger in such a short time.

The highlights of this is the special effects giving real life crinch of gore that you can't unsee. The lead portraying the wanna be doctor portrays the right amount of terror pulling you into his fantasy world and shows you how much he likes it. Jeff also brings the most energy and emotion displaying fear, doubtful, gullible, and innocence that you want him to succeed in this venture. You can't help but like this character.

The overall story is solid despite some technicalities within the film. If your looking for a genuine B movie with some laughs to match you'll want to take a look at this.

If any physical media should surface for this film I would suggest grabbing a copy.

This is one of those throwed back nice films that will remind you why you love horror.

When I first saw this film I didn't know what to expect. So I came into it blindly and what I got I was presently surprised with. It has it's share of silly moments, and long dialogue time (granted I saw the three hour plus version, and it's being cut into a standard 1:30 type film) The conversations were really interesting. The plot is simple. This guy kills people and becomes friends with Will Devokees who doesn't believe he is a murderer until it is too late. The thing which stands out the most in this film is the gore. The gore is really nice. tons of gore also, and REALLY good looking as I said before. The gore will even make you grunge, their is the throat scene which is just shiveringly nasty. I highly recommend this film. It has tons of references from old films, and it's a fun blast to the past of gindehouse cinema in a new film. can't wait to see more things Will makes!
