Have just finished watching series 3 and it's worth seeing. Whilst it does labour the integration of the Muslim community too much imo ( there's not much new to be said after nigh on 70 years of gradual progress) and there's more than the additional nod to the hard of hearing it's a good story with a strong cast.

Great that poor old Morecambe is the filming location as it's a town that desperately needs more income and interest and provides a good setting as the plot unfolds.

Just watched the first seven minutes of series 3. Indian restaurant scene lady dancing on the carpet that was just thrown down totally unsafe for any customer.

Lady detective Which I assume to be Lisa's replacement Drives into the back of a car at murder scene what an amazing coincidence. Please ??

I will watch another 10 minutes.

A very good start to Series 3.

DS Townsend has no time to settle in, she's instantly in the thick of things after the body of a young boxer is found. Assigned to the family as FLO, she soon finds a dysfunctional family.

I found the plot here perhaps a little more plausible and believable than the one from the first series. The characters here were terrific, and all combined to make a truly realistic scenario, with a feasible plot.

I thought this was pretty impressive.

The scenes between Jamal and Karen were absolutely brilliant I thought, her character seems to have somehow come to life here. I loved seeing the sign language, wonderful to see, and about time.

Marsha Thomason has settled right in, I thought she did a brilliant job here.

8/10.

Slogging

Can you pick a more horrendous dead end local. I think not. A town where people have zero hope. I'm still slogging my way through this season 3. In episode 5. I can't stand the whiney mother. Also the repetitive and long so called discussions with the family members.

Great Show

I don't understand the low rating for season 3. I loved it!! Jenn was great as the lead detective. She showed a human side to the job. And her family life, with all its ups & downs was fun to watch unfold. All very believable. I think the focus on families overall and the challenges they face, we can all relate to. Really great show!

Boring.... (Series 3)

Enjoyed Series 1 and 2. I won't be continuing with Series 3. I see some think it's brilliant and an improvement on 1&2 but for me it's just boring. Judging by some of the other ratings it seems I'm not alone! Perhaps I've been spoiled by some of the really good foreign programmes we've watched during lockdowns....:)

Brilliant

Marsha Thomason does an amazing job of filling the boots from. Morven Christie who played Lisa Armstrong. The Bay season 3 won't disappoint at all and let's hope their is a season 4.

Season 3 is the best season yet!

Enjoyed seasons 1 & 2 very much, but season 3 is better: Great story line and superb acting, especially Rina Mahoney's role. Enjoyed Morven Christie but I love Marsha Thomason in the DS role better. Hoping for more seasons.
