The activist and so-called KSA repression is not to my liking. But thank God, there is no Liz, the MYTH building continues then, just like her mother was "the super spy", whose actually just a whiny traitor to everyone whom ever loved her..

Why are people giving 1 star?
Kleivis2728 March 2021
I don't understand why people are giving it a 1 star.. Its unrealistic.. This was an alright classic Blacklist episode, not the best but not the worst. I feel like they need to do something different soon. Like when Reddington was in jail in season 6.. When Keen and Reddington were on the run in season 3. They need to do something similar to this that changes the whole season. And I feel like there is no big mystery I care about, like in season 5 they were going after Reddingtons secret that Tom died for, but this season it's that stuff with Rakitin that I don't really care about.
They need to be better and change the show.

Not a bad episode - Ignore low ratings given by clearly biased crowd
girlonyork7 June 2021
This was a classic Blacklist episode, not one of the best, but not bad at all either.
Low ratings come mostly from those who aren't critiquing the show, but critiquing the show's critique of the Saudi royal family.
Lighten up, Saudis, it's a TV show, for god's sake.

All hail James Spader

Warning: Spoilers
Regardless of how bad this show was this season, watching James Spader as Raymond Reddington is a delight in every episode. And in this episode, his scene with Cooper shows how a brilliant actor he is. You can clearly see his struggle and fear of Cooper's life and the tough situation he is in, unlike his usual conversations where he shows absolute confidence.
Also on another note, though signs point to "Keen's absence" being creatively-driven as apposed to larger controversy "viewers demand" I think her days in the show are numbered.

Protected / unprotected

Episode 11: Fictitious tales of a screenplay storyline, probably coincidental and unintentional, nevertheless with semi-poor writing and some poor dialogues, though with good acting and flow.
As always that's Reddington who shines above everybody else with calm composure and concern where it is due.
It unfortunately shows signs of dragging and the episodes of this season are not really linked as they used to.

Writters are confused.
stathamworld26 March 2021
I think writters have no clue what they are doing. Comparing this season to season 1,2 it's just unreal difference. This season will end up bad, so they can try to fix it in season 9. Here is what they need to do.
1. Elizabeth and Reddington must work together,in first episode of this tv show we understood that whole story is about them.
2. Reveal who Reddington really is and why he cares about Lizz ? Its 8 years long mistery.
3. Add new big villain.
That is my opinion thank you all for reading and have a good day.

Great Episode

Great episode! Best after Katarina Rostova Conclusion this season... It seems this episode is not well liked (and not because of its plots surounding the man from the east, townsend and rakitin) but because of some ethnic political positions in this episode that seems to make assertions, other than this I could see no problem with this episode. I found it to be quite great.
Best actor - bad writing

Terrible

Based on actual breaking news

Can't a TV show with good potential just replace the writers? It is quite obvious that NBC's writers pull inspiration from evening news and progressive newspaper articles. An LGBTQ+ (sic!) activist is kidnapped by... the Saudi royal family and buried alive to await her "delivery" to someone who will kill her. Is that a probably scenario for someone who wants to kill a suburban wife? "Sometimes I wish I never left the circus", indeed! Writers continue their vengeance on the viewers for the overdue demise of Masha Natasha Katarina Redington-Rostova.
Horrid Writing
elijahnissi3 June 2021
I have always hated the character of Liz Keen, and it seemed like the writers were actually trying to make it better in seasons past, but alas, it was always short lived. And now this episode, my God.
Cooper actually says if he has to pick a side he would pick Liz over Red? And wait, how did she become a super criminal and an absolute genius overnight? Absolute crap. I hope Spader gets a script worth his talent.

Well when will you change these writers who screwed up the whole Season
sonerayanlar28 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Since Liz has become the genious criminal with the big sympathy of so called FBI. Harold has been a real joke as a director. Why did you have to make a cop killer such Rostova almost an innocent hero just because She is Liz's mom and real master mind Reddington a traitor? KSA has been now your enemy? Russians are always bad but Americans are ghe saviour of mankind? Huh?!! CHANGE THE SCRIPT WRITERS REAL SOON THEY SCREW.
Very bad writing

Cringe!!!!!
dattaakash-370559 August 2021
Stop this nonsense. It's getting on my nervs. For once, start showing that Harold isn't a idiot, and Reddington can control someone. He said something about a 30 year mission, and now he is caring about some fbi agents??
Pointless Episode

a very bad episode with almost no purpose

1st time writing a review, this episode is bad for many reasons.
As a blacklist fan, I want to watch Raymond doing his thing since he is the core of this show, without him there is no existence to this show. Instead of watching Raymond, I watch a supergirl wanna be episode with bad Arabic characters and terrible story.
As an Arabic speaker, I find the Arabic actors that barely know how to speak Arabic let alone speak the Saudi accent, a poor choice. When they spoke Arabic it sounded like the Lebanese accent which is very far from the Saudi Accent. I hate it when shows bring Arabic characters that barely know Arabic and speak mostly English even when they're talking to each other. I don't think they're even Arabs.
Only reason I gave it a three is because of the ending. It was a good ending. More Raymond please and less supergirl content.

Really!
majekaa729 March 2021
This episode tells me that the writer doesn't know she** about KSA. I wouldn't be surprised if the next episode they show red and Dembi visiting KSA riding Camels in the middle of the dessert on their way to a Castle built of Marble Haha. Also some are still talking art 9/11! Really ! I mean the USA has done much much worst ! Stop living in the bast ppl. :). Also, why do they always use such bad arabic speakers in movies and TV Shows !! I mean the USA is filled with arabs and ppl who speak good arabic why not just use them!

Witness Protection and Peep Holes!!!!
privacyseekr16 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
It's actually quite irritating, and insulting to foreshadowing when a character says, "You'll be in witness protection, don't worry we'll protect you."
What almost invariably happens is that there is a knock at the door of some "safe" house and someone will carelessly answer the door - WITHOUT LOOKING THROUGH THE BLASTED PEEP HOLE FIRST - ushering some stereotypical trouble as the "bad" guy almost always knows where the safe house is. A safe house with windows, INCLUDED AROUND THE DOOR FRAME, so passersby could easily see inside the house particularly with sheer curtains or no blinds.
Why do shows always do this?!
