Nightmare on Friendly Street

Ned is building a class float for the annual friendship day parade. Ned is oblivious about how inferior his float looks, so Newton apprises Ned of what needs to be done. Newton comes up with the ingenious idea of the death star from Star Wars on wheels. I never really cared for this one. It lacks the oomph and creativity that Ned's Newt does so well. Maybe it's because I'm not all that into floats, but I wasn't really into this one. Even the death star on wheels didn't really excite me all that much. The ending is predictable and lame as well, when the float goes awry, but it all works out in the end. Not terrible by any means, but rather ordinary. It just felt like it had no heart, and I didn't get what they were going for.

Snitch in Time

Ned's cousin Renfew unwarrantably pays the family a visit. Not only is he a flagrant tattle-teller, but Ned's dad thinks quite a lot about Renfrew. Ned explains to Newton that no funny business can be allowed, and Newton can't be visible. Right off the bat, Ned gets in trouble, and is forced to move to the guest room. Newton gets fed up, and works out a plan with Ned, to not only get revenge, but to send Renfrew back home. This episode is MUCH better. It's very entertaining, with the laughs I've come to know and love from this show. I've always loathed snitches, so I got many kicks from this one. If you love Newton's impressions, wait until you see the stuff he does involving baseballs at the beginning. It's pretty neat stuff. The ending should make fans of feel good endings very happy. I know it made me happy
