One ring to rule them all... oh wait
This is the documentary on the DVD of The Wrestler, and it is indeed a making-of feature on it. It consists of clips of the film, behind the scenes footage, interviews and stills. They talk about the story of how it got made, the strip club, Rourke and his acting, the life of wrestlers – we even get some inside info on the "sport"(well, I suppose it depends on how you look at it, if you consider it that or just "stuntman theater"... just remember, I'm entitled to my opinion, please don't break a chair over my head), and as it turns out, you really *can* get hurt if you don't do it right. So we do have interesting details, we get to peek behind the curtain... and yet, as is the case with the similar productions on the other Aronofsky movies, this just doesn't grab you that much. I don't know if it's the approach or if Darren's pictures aren't easy to explore in this form... I mean, listening to him talking about what he does and why is compelling. Still, this is nicely enough done, and if you want to know more, this does fit the bill. I recommend this to anyone belonging to aforementioned group. 6/10
