Man-Child Drives Ride-Share & Bad Decisions Converge
mrthomascolby14 January 2023
A man-child who makes bad life decisions suffers the consequences of those bad decisions one night as he works his "DASH" ride-hailing shift as a driver.

Meet some of the people in his life and a few random customers through the evening. Drug deals, prostitution, cheating, an overdose, and a pregnancy all converge within hours.

If this sounds familiar it is because this has been done before. It has been done better.

Will the lead continue to remain a man-child? Will he change his life for the better? Will you wonder what becomes of any of the characters days after you watch this movie? You won't.

Not as good as Locke but worth watching.

Dash is a fairly decent attempt at the hardest way to make a movie. One camera, one take. There are only a couple of slips in dialogue but like good musicians they just roll with it and keep going. It plays like theater more than a movie in that way. Since the setting never changes, the film relies on characters coming and going to set and change the tone and pace. And change it does. It's analogous to a car starting from rest and by the end is going 85 in heavy traffic with snow and hail then the tire blows out on an ice patch. Good job from Alexander Molina for memorizing 2 hours of lines, actions and placement.

That was torture

This is definitely one of the most obnoxious and nerve-wracking films I've ever watched. I don't know what annoyed me more. This guy driving around making painful faces throughout the film. Or the fact that there's people out there buying smack thinking it's cocaine. This guy must be one of the biggest morons on the face of the planet. Literally everything bad that happens could of been easily avoided. As if the writer of the film expected the viewers to be as dumb as the driver. I honestly couldn't wait for it to end. This isn't a film I'd recommend unless you'd like to induce and aneurysm. Generous 4 stars.

Eclectic creative indie film

Writer director Sean Perry does a fine job helming this one take only film involving a ride share driver going through a night of hell. Similar to 2013's fine film Locke, we are witness to one man's nightmarish evening while driving his ride share car.-one disaster piling up after another. Lead Alexander Molina is terrific giving his angst filled character the edge/anxiety/vulnerability needed to make this wild ride work. I love finding indie gems such as this on streaming sites. It's an inventive/eclectic and one dark/funny thrill ride. Perry is a talented filmmaker, hope to see more of his work!
