Either I am going to create fake scenarios in my head before I sleep or someone's needs to tell me how it ends. I NEED TO KNOW. Modern love version of Before sunrise.

Nice but also... surreal?

For everyone who is asking about the real story and how it ended, I found the answers online, but really, it's better to leave it this way. Savour the inconclusiveness of it.
I love that this is the first TV show/episode that includes the pandemic and its storyline. It is so weird to relive those first days of confusion through the eyes of these two strangers...

The only one that met my S2 expectations

This is the only episode that made me feel mushy inside. I wanted it to continue, like I'd watch a whole season of them. I was annoyed at the ending because there wasn't one but I think it's great to keep us guessing. I don't know if it actually deserves the 10/10 rating but it's the only episode that I feel is as good as those from season 1.
A bit of magic, really.

Catches the way we speak in Ireland perfectly. The accents of the predominantly non-Irish cast were impeccable. Light, funny and yet reminds us of those desperate days in March 2020 as the reality of the Covid pandemic set in. Particular kudos for the Ban Garda (female police officer). Smiled all the way through, and left smiling at the end. Do we get to see the perfect reunion? Who needs to? It was all pre-ordained.
Cute, Funny and Relatable

I've never seen a single Modern Love episode before and thought this would be some boring and clichéd RomCom. But I was pleasantly surprised.
It was really cute and funny with an interesting open ending that leaves you wanting more.
I think Kit Harington fits perfectly in these type of shows/movies. Lucy Boynton was great, as well as the rest of the small cast.

Disgustingly cute and refreshing

I loved everything about it. The honest internal monologue. The witty conversation. The Train Choir. The mid age smoke effect. The before sunrise reference. The family convo. The Note/Audio Recording. The real police. The lock down gym reference. The lovely neighborhood. I hate that I can't see if they reunite.
But this honestly lights up my world. I haven't enjoyed a show in so long. This is so smart and wholesome<3 What a masterpiece.

Great leads. Funny script. Genuinely likeable characters. One of the best episodes so far. Some have complained that they didn't get the conclusion they wanted, but I think you have to use your imagination in this case. Highly recommend this one.
Pretty damn funny

This is probably the most unique episode in the show as it isn't as grounded in reality like the other episodes. This almost feels like a parody of a rom-com. It's certainly the most comedic episode of the bunch. Most of the jokes worked for me and the actors were great. Lucy Boynton is very likable and the Kit Harington-Jack Reynor duo is terrific. I do feel like the episode could've been more than what it was and the ending is a little frustrating but this was easily one of the strongest episodes of the season. Definitely the most enjoyable one.

The Ending Can't Take Away The Magic
pansapien-2064010 September 2021
Best episode of season 2! Yes, the ending was difficult to digest. An entire show predicated on one pivotal moment, and then to leave viewers unfulfilled seems ill-advised.
However, the magic was there throughout and should not be overlooked. The characters played off each other fabulously. Whimsical, poignant and entertaining, your attention was demanded from the start.
As much as I'd like to have seen a "proper" resolution, I think the clear conclusion can be made; no one would go to such great measures only to not run the ball in for the touchdown. I enjoyed the process and the journey for what it was: a desperate attempt to find our way to what we want despite unforeseen obstacles while still attempting maintain belief in something magical.
And yes, the Game of Thrones reference was fantastic, despite the fact that I entirely missed it the first time ( I didn't realize it was Kit Harrington--duh).

I don't approve when someone says delicious to non-food relating things, however this is the only think I can say about this episode. I immediately wanted to know who wrote it. Also being from a totally different country i am in awe to see how similar conversations we have had. Schools going for a two hour break, not being able to travel beyond a certain limit. I think anyone being through this time peri will watch this with a smile on their face. Spoiler alert ! This episode got me on Laura's inner monologue at the begining.
PLEASE DO A SEQUEL IN SEASON 3!
