As far as quality documentary goes, this is simply a fine example of the art form. The film has a strong narrative appeal as it recounts significant events leading up to the 1999 World Cup. The film is also an interesting study of grass-roots marketing and the importance of corporate sponsorship in athletics today, and based on that could be used effectively as a supplement to a communication or marketing course. I am currently using it as part of course module focusing on the development of relationships in group and team communication. The conclusion is one of the best, most inspiring sequences of any film in the sports genre, fiction, non-fiction, narrative or documentary.
